Since this movie has only one character it lacks dialouge. But, that is not a loss. Robert Redford is a master at portraying a character that just is. No, overdramatic acting here. His character is comfortable on the water, calm, collected, and smart about perserving what he can until, well, "everthing is lost". Even in the slow moments of the movie it is engaging because there are little details that add to the overall story and beauty of this movie.

There's really not a lot to say about this product because it's just a DVD movie, a little on the boring side yet somewhat interesting.

Redford is excellent in this film against nature. However, it will not be for everyone. It is Redford against nature and nothing more.

After overcoming one hardship, another one comes along, only worse. More problems arise, one after another, but he never gives up.

when the only other characters are a boat and the ocean, the actor better be good. Redford was great.

Robert Redford still is the actor's actor, as he demonstrates in this film. After the opening few scenes, there is no spoken dialogue, except for a single truly apt word (which cannot be repeated here). The sailboat is beautiful - what a shame to see it's fate. You will be on the edge of your seat, praying for salvation, through every minute of this one.

As far as lost at sea movies go, this one lacked suspense. I would go with Captain Philips, Cast Away, Life of Pi, or any other of those movies. I don't even feel old people will appreciate the draw of Redford in this film. He's a great director, this this project lacks any impact.

I didn't like the sticker BEST BUY puts on the box though. it is hard to take off.
