star crossed lovers thrown together via of duty to their countries. each a specialist in espionage and infiltration neither attached to any one in particular as it could be a hinderance to their assignments find themselfs falling in love with each other after preparing for the assigned task. good story line and great chemistry between the male and female leads.could have been a bit more tension filled but other than that good entertainment.

I came into this one not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The movie had good pacing and really kept you into the story. While following the protagonist you find yourself following the same path and direction he is going to find the ultimate truth. The suspense is there up until the end of the movie which is all you can really ask for.

I saw Allied in the movie theater and I liked it. It is a very entertaining movie. Particularly, I liked the first half of the movie, which is very fast. Acting is really good and set design and costumes are excellent. The blu ray disc is also really good and comes with a bonus digital UV copy. The picture and sound are both excellent. It also contains several very good bonus material. Highly recommended.

Set during World War II, this movie has a lot of intrigue and suspense. Marion Cotillard plays Marianne, a French resistance fighter who falls in love with Pitt who plays a Canadian officer and spy. Together they work to eliminate the enemy, but the story goes much deeper. Find out what happens with war time romances and the sacrifices we make for love. Very family friendly but with good deal of violence, not reccommended for very young children

Allied is an example Brad Pitt in all his romantic glory. He and Marion Cotillard are well cast in this WWII drama of espionage, romance and drama. The story has a surprising twist which elevates the movie from being a sentimental romance to an exceptional drama. The costumes and musical score are beautifully mid-Forties vintage. All in all, this was an enjoyable movie that I've seen more than once. Nice to have Brad Pitt back in this vintage scene doing what he does best: romantic leading man.

This Brad Pitt War movie flew under the radar which is a shame because it ranks up there on his best list versus worst. Everything about the movie works from cinematography, acting, script, etc. I think it just unfortunately suffered from miss handling of the marketing which featured it as more of a return to Mr. and Mrs. Smith only set during World War II when in fact there is a whole lot more going on and it is truly a good spy/romance/war movie to watch and enjoy!

Brad Pitt is outstanding in this suspensful movie. About 2 Intelligence operatives that meet in the field. Brad's character, after being told by his superior that relationships between 2 officers never work out. Shortly after being married a child is born. Shortly after that, Brad gets news that definitely will change his life & the life & future of him & infant child.

It Was Good But It Could’ve Been Better Either That Or My Expectations Were To high

Firstly, to my knowledge, this film was shot in 6k and mastered at 4k. So, unsurprisingly, this UHD looks fabulous and it sounds great too. I wish it had Dolby Vision HDR, but only five UHD discs have it so far and this isn't one of them. The film wasn't critically praised, but it is much better than what the critics said. Film: 6.5/10. Visuals/Sound: 9.5/10

So Brad Pitt again in the WWII era, but not in the way we have seen him in his previous films. I have to say I new the main part of the story from the previews, so that was no surprize, but that being said there were some left for me in watching the movie. I thought the movie was very well done and I recommend this to those who are in for a twist.

Mr. Zemeckis, you have done it yet again by crafting another perfectly written yet mature film in the vein of 2012's Flight. Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard made for one amazing, charismatic albeit somewhat mysterious and highly volatile duo on screen as you question rather or not to trust one or the other. Allied is a beautifully directed, well written, and incredibly thrilling movie that must be watched in the best format available.

Enjoyed right up to the end . Needs serious rewriting on the ending life is sad but not a tragedy. Anyone can kill of characters but a work of art is seeing them as above the gutter . Above spies who have the wrong side in mind . "The Wall " movie was like that not worth the time, money , or breathe used to speak the lines.

Only there's a hitch: she might be a German spy. Made with an obvious affection for vintage suspense melodramas from the 1940s by director Robert Zemeckis.

Allied is absolutely a mix of genres. It has espionage, war, murders, parties, family, romantic moments, landscapes and has a mystery to solve. Is it perfect? No, it certainly has weaknesses and flaws, but i was completely entertained by it. If you are a fan of classic films, i recommend it.

In the first five minutes of this movie I truly enjoyed the film work -- they didn't jiggle the camera and make you dizzy. It was like real life, being there. The story was very good, although sad, given the setting was war-time. I won't say any more, so as to spoil the show. Great acting.

What can I say, my wife likes brad so it was an ok to buy. Very few movie nowadays has plots of more than 1 surprises so it’s not very entertaining. We enjoyed this movie very much. That’s a plus because generally we’re on opposites because I prefer action/ sci-fi.

I didnt look much into this movie besides the few TV spots it got. I never read any reviews or plot summaries so going into it I was expecting more action and a bit more deception. Final product was a decent movie and the action scenes were pretty good. worth the watch.

I'll admit, I missed this one in theaters simply because it lacked a strong plot in my opinion. But after purchasing it on sale, I have to say, this is one I wished I hadn't missed out on the big screen. Really intense film that shows England during the Blitzkrieg. Pitt and Cotillard are brilliant in it as a couple. Worth a watch!

Okay, but not great WW2 story, well supported by stars Pitt and particularly Cotillard. The disc extras are interesting, as they show the period settings were done with green-screen techniques. Well worth watching with great blu-ray video and audio.

I'm a big fan of the War genre as well as movies that make you think, so this was right up my alley. If you want to enjoy a "not your typical war movie" and like to be kept in suspense almost from start to finish, you'll enjoy this movie.
