I will never buy any sub that isn't an alpine. The r series is simply the best there is.

This sub does a phenomenal job. I use mine with a 500watt JL slash amp and it this sub takes all that I give it. Make sure you use the recommended box and port size, I originally put this in an older prebuilt Obcon box, and output was not what I was hoping. But after building a box to the recommended spec, WOW! What a difference!

When I'm driving the beat shakes my body I mean vibrates hard would'nt trade for nothing thumb's up baby

Picked up this sub last year along with the 1200 watt rockford fosgate amp and man i tell ya this thing hits as hard as two 15s. I have it in a ported box some advise do not get the bassworx box it does not let the sub expand enough and not enough air movement. But i have the sub facing the hatch and hits the best. Nice warm pound to it and i have herd i rattle ash trays on coffee tables when i drive by lol but if you were gonna spend the money i would def get this subwoofer

My favorite sub of all time. most people will not need two of these. one Type R will blow away alot of other peoples 2 subwoofer setups. I do recommend puting it into a ported or a vented enclosure box. Sealed enclosures constrict this subwoofer too much. if you have a full size sedan or even a SUV one of these bad boys is more then enough. Also, the overall sound is a warm complimentry bass that goes well with the music rather then just throwing a ton of bass over the music.
