Loved this sub on my car..gives out that great sound and hits great

I bought this to replace a blown Rockford Fosgate P1 in my wife's car. It sounded so different. The P1 was boomy and you felt it. The Alpine is tighter and a lot cleaner. She loves it. Sounds great.

Hook this up today and it sounds amazing. Installed in a sealed box with .90 cu. ft. air space (Alpines recommendation) and a off-brand amp pushing 450 watts rms.

Amazing bass response with very clean and clear sound. Sub has clean and tight transitions from mid to low and to even lower bass. Clean looks and installation cover ring keep things looking smooth. After a short break-in period I am surprised by the sub each time I listen to it. Paired with a Alpine M500 amplifier I couldn't be happier.

Awesome bass subs couldn't be happier. I would recommend these subs to anyone who is looking for awesome bass sound at a great price.

For the size the sound quality is amazing. Very clear and solid sound and very sleek looking.

Some how I managed to purchase this sub and in exactly one year it blew because "I played it too loud." Then some how I was talked into purchasing it again. The sound is good but it has its limits. If you purchase it and are in you 20/30s pay for the geek squad warranty

Bought this sub with the 500 watt amp and a vented truck box for my jeep. The sound quality is unbelievable. Easy install...highly recommended

Added theses speakers to the back of my Jeep. Plenty of great sound even with the top and doors off!

This is an awesome sub. Wired at 2 ohms it really kicks out the bass. Also doesn't seem like it will blow out very easily.

my goal was to not get some speakers did I was going to be comfortable with I had a great installer he was the best hook me up got everything looking good

Very happy with them.I bought 2 and I want to get another set so I can have 4 in my trunk. Now u don't see that in most camrys

I purchased this sub with a kenwood amp and wiring kit. which was selected by the best buy employee. I had it installed by the best buy geek squad which was an act of congress basically spent 6 hours waiting one after another interruption. anyway it worked fine for about two weeks then started to have problems turned out my battery was bad as I just bought the car. so fixed that worked for a week and I noticed bass cutting in and out. it would lower and raise in volume I went two weeks like this tryin to figure it out. I have had one blown speaker before and never sounded like this the amp was blowin fuses I blew the main fuse and i changed those and replaced the terminal for speaker wires and also purchased new amp to try worked but not a lot of base smaller amp mine was a mono so i returned it and got another. good i got the warranty. installed worked fine about a few days later same issue.so then i had enough brought it to a local installer he diagnosed my wiring amp and found my speaker was blown he made a suggestion of a kicker l7 he had so i tried it hoping it would handle my amp and so far twp weeks later no issues i returned this one and got a refund this speaker states 500 watts rms and 1500 peak my amp is a 500 watt rms and 1000 peak the speaker should of had no problem handling this i wont say i wont go with alpine but i will not go with this particular sub the kicker hits much harder than the alpine i paid less for the kicker 20 bucks less so its not worth the trouble go with kicker or rockfard JL Audio before alpine s series. no info on the type r or up if you insist on this speaker have a very small amp for it it does not handle what it says
