Clean and clear. I was a little sceptical, but these sound great!

Bought these to replace the factory speakers on my 2005 Corolla after all of these years, and there were a great upgrade with clear highs and deep bass, even though I'm only driving them with an aftermarket Kenwood DMX7704S head unit instead of using an amp. The only problem now is that the trim on my car rattles during some tracks with a lot of bass, so I may need to work on adding some Dynamat to dampen the extra vibration and rattle.

I wanted an upgrade from the factory speakers in my 2005 Corolla, and caught these on a great sale where they were cheaper than the lower-end model from Alpine. They sound great even though I'm just running them from an aftermarket head unit, but they have a lot of headroom if I want to add an amp later. The biggest annoynance now is the vibration on the trim panels of my car from the bass these put out.

Over all after have the speakers installed. Not super expensive by the way. Sound quality is great.

Great quality and sound. Can take some power. Great recommendation from the geek squad, instead of comparable replacement speakers. This was definitely and upgrade.

I purchased several speakers over the years. This is the second time I've purchased Alpines for a vehicle. These are the most powerful Alpine components I've ever purchased, and it's also the first time I've put two sets of Alpine components in one vehicle. I've got each set paired with its own Alpine "power pack" amp, and for the price of the speakers and the individual amps, everything sounds great. I still need to play around with my equalizer and other sound settings to get things sounding exactly how I want it, but I'm more than satisfied thus far and trust that things will sound even better once I get everything set to where I want it. This speakers were easy to install and the sound quality is impecable. Along with alpine's quality i highly recommend them.

These are the absolute best your money can buy if you're going for a low budget upgrade. These work best with an aftermarket amplifier or a factory upgraded ampilifier. Though they sound great with a head unit integrated amplifier they don't get pushed hard enough for optimal sound. An excellent Amp to pair it with would be the Alpine PDX-V9.

They seem to work pretty good. I do not have an amp hooked up to these and I wish I would have. I would recomend the speaker but also recomend buying an amp for these as well.

I'm going to put it as simple as possible... Alpine Speakers are the best... especially their type R collection.. this is the second time I purchase this same model.. for my second car... Sound quality is amazing.. I suggest installing them with an amp.. other than that you're golden...

Decent sound but they aren't the best fit, the speakers barely fit in my doors

Great qualityI bought these for the rear of my Mustang GT that had a factory for 60 Mark stereo system in the speakers fit right in the back and sound wonderful

I replaced the front speakers in a 2017 Toyota Sienna. The factory sound in this unit was quite impressive, but I wanted to tighten up the bass and crystallize the high-end. The result was a cleaner high-end but something was missing in the low-end (maybe I wired them out of phase). So, I switched the polarity, left and right, front and back, inside and outside and upside down. Nope speakers are in phase. What I did notice, though, was a low-frequency test signal (And I do not remember the exact frequency) played quite audibly from the OEM rear speakers of the vehicle but barely made a peep from the Alpine's.

Sounds great . Perfect update from stock speakers. Sounds great but you definitely need front and rear. And they look amazing good quality

I was going to go the cheaper route, but the clerk showed me a deal they were having on the type r and I'm so glad I spent a little more for such a quality speaker

I currently have focal k2rx in my Lexus and I didn't want to spend that much in my commute car so I went with these alpine component speakers and they sound great great separation like my focals!

Haven't gotten a chance to wire these up yet just got done cutting out the hole in the panel and making an adapter to fit the tweeters in the door. I'm sure it will sound awesome once I'm done! =)

Exactly what anyone would expect from Alpine. And the install crew were fantastic as well. And super fast too!!!

Love these speakers. Major upgrade. Sounds incredibly good.
