I worked 3 overnights blasting this speaker with my favorite rock and metal music. Then I used it while washing my car. I haven't recharged it yet. The audio quality is top notch for the size and it gets plenty loud at max volume. I chose this to replace an old Bose Soudlink (first model) with a weak battery and Bluetooth connection issues.

After purchasing this speaker I found it to be better than the Beats Pill. I would love to have a few more to put together for surround sound music, it was so nice I referred it to a few of my friends who loves it too. Best speaker I’ve bought.

I bought this to put on my mountain bike. It was great for the first mile, but as soon as the road got rough it stripped out the piece holding it to the mount. I have to day it's durable though, because I ran over it with my bike and it took it like a champ. One thing I like about it is that the speakers are on both sides, so now I keep it in my backpack and get even sound on both sides. I do like this speaker a lot.

I purchased this speaker because it was waterproof, it fell in the pool and continued to work. The bluetooth sometimes has a weak signal and music starts skipping. For $100 it is fine but I'm glad I didn't pay msrp!

I just love it sounds really good I use every day!! I can take anywhere great product !!

I was on the fence whether to spend the extra money on this one but I’m glad I did . I mounted it on my SeaDoo and it works great.

I've always been a fan of Altec Lansing audio products, and this one has not let me down. It is small, portable, water proof, sand proof, has great sounds in all ranges (low, middle, and high), and has 50 hours of battery life on one charge! My iPhone 7 had no problems connecting to it instantly. I use mine all the time to play music at my house and on the go. The only thing I don't love about this speaker is the fact that they programmed it to say "Welcome to Altec Lansing" every single time you turn it on. Frankly, that is not a deal breaker for me, but I would prefer a short beep, or similar sound effect in future iterations of this product.

I love Altec Lansing. These speakers can take a beating. I use them for my Jet Ski's. You can throw them in the water and they float and still jam on. I had a smaller AL and decided to pick these up on Cyber Monday for 79 what a deal. These speakers have deeper bass and sounds better them my small jacket AL. Love them!

This speaker is great it rocks. Its loud enough to be heard by all the guest (20+ and some screaming kids) at the party and still have a great sound quality when turned up all the way which is a big deal for me. Battery life lasted the whole party so it was great, and we also use it at the beach all the time and it its never had a problem. Bluetooth connects every time no hassles there and stays connected it doesnt lag or break up. Well built should last for the long haul ive been using it for 5 months now its my favorite

My wife and I just built a pool at our home, so I wanted to find a speaker that would synch up with her iPhone so she could play her various playlists while lounging poolside. This meant it also had to be, at least for me, more than merely water “resistant” as we built a tanning ledge in the pool, and there would be a risk the device might accidently fall in the pool, so I wanted something rated more water “proof”. This not only met our needs, it even came with the ability to charge her phone if she was running low because the charge on this speaker was enormous. Syncing with the app was simple, the sound is very good, and the product works as advertised. What more could you ask for?

Easy to pare with any Bluetooth device. The sound is good, goes pretty loud but the clarity is not as intense as a Bose. This thing is tough, I plan on bringing it to the beach as it's supposed to be waterproof and sand proof, we'll see. Over all I'm pretty happy with it, better than listening through your phone or laptop speakers lol. I'm happy with it and since it was on sale for 1/2 price it was a good deal.

The speakers carry the sound all around the speaker. It is a little strong in the bass, but it is plenty loud enough for large rooms. It connects easily with my laptop and cell phone over Bluetooth. I have not tried the external charging feature that lets you charge your cell phone form the speaker's battery. The feature set is stronger in its ruggedization than in its overall sound quality.

This speaker was a birthday gift for a teen aged boy and it goes everywhere with him. The battery life is amazing, the rugged build makes it perfect for an active lifestyle. The size is great for him because it is large enough to be found but small enough to live and travel in his backpack. The only thing it lacks is a loud speaker. It works well for a small, personal space but lacks enough volume to really be enjoyed by the family unless we are in pretty close proximity of one another.

I was looking for a personal speaker that I could take with me and not worry about breaking or being damaged from the elements (From landscaping outdoors to basement renovations). The outer case is very durable (5 stars), The sound quaity is 4 stars, (the 4 stars was listed because it lacks the bass compaired to a Sony or JBL). The battery life, 5 stars (I do not have to constantly keep plugging it in to change it).

I have owned the Altec Lansing Life Jacket 2, for a couple years and love it. It's been to multiple beach trips and pools, gotten sandy and been washed off, dropped, kicked, etc. Keeps on playing. The Boom Jacket 2 is about the same size, but even louder. really enjoy this speaker. Great sound for what it is.

I bought this on the recommendation from a friend. It is a good speaker, with good sound quality and decent bass level. It has good Bluetooth range, so I can use it out on my deck, streaming music from my PC. One to possibly be aware of is the lack of an included auxiliary cable for a non-Bluetooth music player or other device. That was not included with the speaker I received, but not a deal-breaker. It's a pretty cool device and plays for a long time between charges. I only wish it were a little cheaper.

This Bluetooth speaker is phenomenal! The sound in this speaker is very loud and very clean. it is very easy to set up and link with your phone or bluetooth device. It is portable and water resistant. So far I am enjoying this purchase.
