The battery does not last more than 8 hours at max volume

It stopped working. It would pair but with no sound. I did not drop it and it has never been in the water or even out in the rain. Unfortunately it is just out of the one year warranty. I went to ALTEC customer support and they said there was nothing they could do. There was no hardware or software reboot to try. It was like the power to the speakers just disappeared. It was a decent speaker when it worked which is why I gave it one star. But it would cost more to repair than it would to replace. Piece of junk!

Speaker did not have as much volume as expected especially for it's size and bass was definitely lacking as well. I recommend going with the JBL at around the same price point.

Bought this as a gift for husband. He loves it. We had bought the smaller version for our daughter and liked it so much we went with this brand again just bigger.

Only a little bit louder than my lifejacket2 and twice the price. Retuned it after a couple of days. Oh yeah on full charge at full blast the battery only lasted about 4 hours.

Speaker worked well for a couple weeks, then would power up but had no sound. I called customer service after an arduous process on the phone and trying to reboot 3-4 times I was told I needed to do a hard reboot which would require running the battery dead and then recharging it, when that didn't work two days later I called to return it for another unit. They stated in the email it could take 10-15 days for them to ship a replacement. At 23 business days later I still don't have my replacement and after several emails to the company all I get is company policy statements, after I informed them that they where out side their own policy they just keep telling me to be patient. When I ask for a refund they said they couldn't help me with that. So I have no speaker and no refund.

i paid $200 for this speaker to find out it is just as loud as my $25 plug in one. yeah its convent that it is battery powered but i thought the quality and volume would be better for the money

This was a great speaker for about 2 months. Own the mini one and it's been great for almost 3 years.

I would give this a better review but when I first got it I had to return it because it didn't work. I speaker is good just wish I had a better first impression.

Battery life was more disappointing than me to my father. Bluetooth worked as long as there was direct line of sight. No wind. And you rested the phone within a few feet of the speaker. Other than that... it’s not very water proof. One trip to the beach will kill it forever and altecs customer support will make rethink all of your bad life choices for they are the punishment for the wrongs you have committed in life.

Ordered off internet. Product would not hook up to Bluetooth device. Had to send in for warranty. Nothing has happened yet.

Had to return the first speaker I took home but Best Buy took it back and the second one works and sounds great.

Wife and I chose this speaker because it meets all the requirements for our lifestyle. Exceeded our expectations

Got this for my bf and he loves it. Especially liked that he can charge is phone from the speaker while at work.
