Would not recommend! $300 unit and didn’t last a day after we brought it on a vacation in Mexico!

Terrible product stopped working after 1 week. Product would not connect with other devices.

This was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this device to anyone. It is junk!

Was going to buy a Bose speaker but store clerk talked me into this one. Very dissatisfied.

Speaker was not loud and as battery dies gets even worse. Took it back and exchanged for the jbl.

Will work for a couple hours then cannot get it to play anything returned 3.

I am really starting to love this speaker. Sounds great, especially the mids and highs. The seperate mids and tweeters are what make this shine. Bass is fine but nothing this size is gonna shake the house anyways. Best thing so far is music from both sides. Having speakers on both sides is nice. Sit on the beach, throw in the middle and everybody hears. Played for hours now and battery still says 100%. Don't know yet what the preset battery increments are but so far, it seems great. I just know the Onyx cuts off after 3 hrs and this has been on for at least 5. One thing to note, they got rid of the loud voice when pairing and turning off. Still informs when turning on but not that loud.

We originally purchased this speaker from Best Buy in spring of 2017, after testing multiple in-store. We loved the sound quality, bass, and features promised (such as waterproof, floating, dust/sand proof, etc). We took it home, charged it up according to instructions, and used it one time before the problems began. After the first use, it would charge up only to play for about 3 hrs. before dying again. After the 5th or 6th time using it wouldn't charge at all. We called customer service and attempted the hard reset as they suggested, however it still woudln't charge at all- it wouldn't even connect/play music when PLUGGED IN. After months of back & forth with Altec Lansing customer support they finally agreed to "fix it." Needless to say we recieved our unit back "fixed" about 3-4 months after we shipped it to them (again, after multiple calls & emails). Of course it didn't charge so we sent that unit back also. They sent us a new one about another 4 months after that. This one did the same thing (worked about 3 times, then completely died & would not charge). Again we had to go through weeks of calls and emails to get ours shipped back and get a new one. We shipped it out, and 3 months later we still didn't have one. After weeks of calls AGAIN, we finally recieved a replacement- which was a refurbished one this time as they claim no new ones are produced (** Keep in mind it's been a year of this- so now we're in spring of 2018 **). The refurbished one worked once, and of course wouldn't charge. Sent it back again and were promised a new one... months go by, with us calling & emailing and still no speaker. We FINALLY received our replacement (which is a Jolt Lifejacket- cheaper model than what we bought)- It's November of 2018. We've used the various speakers a total of about 10 times in over 1.5 years due to the poor quality, failing charge system, and poor customer service. We have asked multiple times for a refund as we didn't even want the speaker anymore after the 2nd unit failed, however they refuse to give one- they just keep sending "replacement" speakers that don't work. We will never buy Altec Lansing products again due to the poor customer service and they way they handle "problem" products.

We bought an XL and an H20 for the kids for Christmas and both sounded like a poorly tuned radio station with lots of crackling. Returned the XL for the Super Lifejacket and had the same problem. Loved the features of the speaker but expected more out of the sound quality. Will be returning the Super today and looking at other brands with less features in hopes of not hearing the crackle sounds.

This is a awesome Bluetooth speaker...It does everything it says and sounds great. I took it to the beach and it handled it like a pro. Very rugged. Look no further for a great portable speaker.

I bought this speaker because it sounded good at the store and was the only one available. Best Buy has a problem with keeping things in stock. We got home charged the speaker and used it. Sounded great. That was the only time we have been able to use it. After many attempts to connect the bluetooth to my phone, after many tries it finally connects only to not be able to hear anything coming out of the speaker. No volume what so ever!! HORRIBLE!!!! I was a little wary of the product when I took the speaker out of the box and found a note from the manufacturer that says please do not return our product to the store if your speaker doesn't work the way it is supposed to. Please call our customer service department so we can guide you on how to fix it. I ended up buying a different speaker brand, can't deal with this.

Sounds like garbage, no bass, crackly sound, garbage... Battery only lasted 9 hours at full blast, My ion tailgater lasts well over 12 hours a day at full blast, and has much better sound and volume for half the price!
