I've used Altec speakers before...they are very durable. Gave this one to my father in law (not tech savvy) as a gift, easy to set up and easy to use. Only downside are the streaming services it supports, only a few.

I have a few Alexa devices and I connect a shower speaker to them for Pandora in the bathroom. It works ok, but I really thought this would be a better solution to have Alexa built in. After fighting with the app, calling in the Don’t return, we’re here to help” number, and trying numerous different devices, I finally got this on my Wi-if. Once connected there were more obstacles. Pandora is not supported at all on this device, it’s completely blocked. Also it has an extremely difficult time sluggishly processing voice commands that work fine with actual Alexa devices. Sometimes a different voice comes on and says it’s “having trouble understanding things right now”. I feel like there’s a 3rd party voice interpreter causing problems. In all, I really regret setting aside time to call in for tech support. That was not a good experience, and I should have just returned it when I had the chance. I guess I’ll just consider it a plain overpriced Bluetooth speaker at this point. For that purpose it seems pretty rugged and sounds ok. I feel really sorry for anybody that paid the original $129 price.

It took a while to connect with Alexa but works well with Alexa and the sound is good. Like the portability around the house and yard.

A little bigger and heavier than expected. It has decent sound quality, great for large open/outdoor areas. For wifi and use with Alexa, not good at all. it required several apps and you had to be very close to the mic for it to pick up your voice.

Nice sound but you could not do the same things you can do with a Dot, spot, or echo. Also only had 2.4 adapter built in it and the music skipped or the channel went dead. All my dots worked jus fine

I love the sound that comes from this unit, I am not too impressed with the Alexa connection (Slow response connecting). It does connect via Bluetooth well. It is sturdy and well built. Overall good buy.

Its a good product. The built is solid, but for some unknown reason I always struggle to link it up with the bluetooth.

I was looking for something like the amazon tap when I purchased this. If you are purchasing this for Alexa please put it back now. The speaker sounds good but barely understands your commands from 3ft away. My amazon tap hears me from the next room. This is not the full Alexa experience and I quickly returned the item based on this reason.

If you like listening to music outside, by the pool or beach. Waterproof and has alxea built in!

We use this speaker in the bathroom and when joyriding around in our Polaris Ranger.

Good speaker and easy to carry around. No complaints yet.

Decent speaker. A little tricky to set up. Blue tooth seems to have trouble but will use longer and see.
