I have been using Bluetooth adapters for a couple years now for pushing TV audio over to my portable speakers and Bluetooth compatible headphones. I have hearing problems and have to either have a speaker sitting next to me or use headphones. The Aluratek Bluetooth adapter is one of the simplest adapters I’ve found. It’s a small dongle shaped device that that’s very light and easily concealed. In the box there’s a USB charging cable, a mini plug audio adapter and a RCA attachment for the mini plug cable. There isn’t a power adapter with it but you can hook it up to your TVs USB port “if it has one” or use any USB charger to power it up. This does have a built in battery, and Aluratek states that it has a 10-12hr battery life. While I haven’t tried that yet it’s really nice to have in case you want to use it on a portable device that doesn’t support Bluetooth itself. I hooked it up to our TCL TV we have in our bedroom, and luckily it has a USB port that does power on the adapter. Syncing was simple, just press the sync button on the side while your Bluetooth device is in pair mode and a couple seconds later it paired right up with my Audio Technica Bluetooth headphones. The only thing missing on this one is an optical in port “due to size I can understand that”, and if you absolutely need an optical connection then you’ll have to look elsewhere. I can understand it lacking that due to the size and price point. The sound quality is really good too; I was surprised that I could easily walk out into our living room and almost out to our garage before the sound started breaking up, about 45’ away. Now I can listen to the TV in the bedroom without disturbing anyone. In all this is a very simple to use device that allows you to add Bluetooth connectivity to pretty much anything that has audio out ports. I did attach it to a portable radio we have and that worked perfectly, didn’t even plug the power in as the battery was fully charged, “just not sure yet how long the battery lasts” but it worked fine for a couple hours and connected to our Sony sound bar. So if you are looking for a very simple to use Bluetooth adapter that has a lot of uses then I’d be looking strongly at this one.

I have been looking for a solution to not having the TV bother my College Student. Each night we would have to adjust the volume so low that my Wife and I just chose to not watch TV. Fast forward to this little devise! We can watch our TV, our Student can have her peace and we are all happy! It will connect to my Wife's bluetooth headphones and mine, we can adjust the volume with them to our needs. We use Sony WI-C310 and they work flawlessly! I actually tried this about a year ago but no one had perfected this. I cannot tell you how happy I am. I am also a bit hard of hearing and now I hear the TV perfectly! I recommend this device.

We bought a Samsung TV without Bluetooth for my father-in-law who is in his 80s and very hard of hearing. We purchased this along with a Bluetooth speaker and all was easy. He has a smile on his face and can now hear the TV clearly without cranking it loud. He could not even understand it when it was loud until we hooked things up. Only had to mate the transmitter to the speaker, plug it in to the audio out on the TV and set the TV to audio out speaker. This comes with a USB cable for charging and it plugs right into the TV. Also has a dual audio out cable if needed. Great buy and made his life great.

Wow! If you are looking at this because you need a Bluetooth transmitter you should just buy now. TLDR: Yes, it works. Exactly as promised. Longer review. The Aluratek Bluetooth Audio Transmitter is about the size of 2 x quarters (see picture). Is rechargeable, and comes with EVERYTHING you need to use this out of the box. Including RCA cables. Pairing is FAST. There's no need for an app or anything, there's a pairing button on the Aluratek, so basically you put your bluetooth headphones in pairing mode, hit the pairing button on the Aluratek and like magic you can stream. The Aluratek let me use bluetooth headphones on my Nintendo switch! Wohoo! but the LIFE changing tip is take these on a plane! Was in economy class where you have the TV in front of you, where when you have headphones plugged in you have to always unplug them so people can walk past you. The Aluratek lets you use your Airpods on a plane or any other bluetooth headset. Plus it's so small you can easily take it anywhere. Seriously this little bluetooth transmitter is an absolute winner! I plan to get another one for my wife.

I received the review item and didn't have great expectations for it. I've purchased similar type items and they seem to come up short most of the time. Not today. So far I've had great success with this unit. I first tried it out with my old 80gb 5th generation ipod. I paired it with a set of Bose Soundsport wireless earpods. Getting the buds to pair up with the transmitter was simple. Just turned on the unit, pressed the pairing button...there's only one button and the on/off switch, and I got a flashing blue light. I immediately heard the buds say they paired up with (a weird name/number) which of course was the name of the transmitter. I started a playlist and it played very well. I listened to about a dozen songs and I didn't have any lag or buffer issues. The songs played flawlessly. So today I figured I try to pair it up with my car. I have a Kenwood DPX702BH head unit and it has bluetooth mode as well as a hard wired ipod cable. I was planning on just trying it out, but I realized I left the ipod cable in my PC. So a simple song test turned into a number of song played while I ran errands. It did the same in the car as it did last night. I had it in the glove box and so it was only 3 feet away, but again, no issues. The instructions state it will work up to 50 ft. away. I haven't had a need to test that, but it worked 10-15 ft. away as I walked from the den to the kitchen. Other things I liked about the unit: It had decent instructions, unlike many that come with a multi folded newsprint that tears when you try to open it. Theirs is a colored, well made manual in a few languages..including English. Oh and thank you for separating them by page, not have them grouped together (what a headache that always is). The unit also come with 3 cables, the micro USB for charging, a 3.5mm to 3.5mm to connect the transmitter to a earphone jack and a 3.5mm to dual RCA's to connect to a TV or receiver. Again, I thought I would be disappointing, but I was happily surprised with how well it performs. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a way to connect by bluetooth on older tech.

I got this to try out with my Nintendo Switch with my Bluetooth headphones. It works perfectly with no lag whatsoever with the Switch and my Sennheiser HD1 Wireless headphones! Lip sync through the YouTube app is perfect and game sound is also right on the money. Just plug it into the headphone jack using the supplied short cable. It's light enough to let it dangle, but I suppose you could always attach it with a small piece of velcro if necessary. Sound quality is great! Pairing is a little different than with a smartphone, but is pretty easy to figure out.

Has worked well for me with my old TV and radio. Can be tricky to connect but very convenient to have when I want to listen to something while vacuuming or if there is loud noise

I bought this hook-up an older 5 CD changer. Had too many CD's to digitize. I'm playing through a JBL Flip 5. It works great.

This product works very well and has a pretty good range and lasts pretty long between charges. The sound is crisp and clear.

I’m not sure I know anyone that listens to music, podcasts, etc., and/or watches TV shows, movies, or any type of video media that hasn’t pushed audio to wireless sources or had the desire to. At this point, it’s becoming second nature to listen to audio wirelessly. Heck, many of the newer phones are being designed without headphone jacks. It’s for this reason alone that the Aluratek Bluetooth Audio transmitter is a very useful, if not game changing device. It allows you to push sound from any audio output device to a Bluetooth transmitted signal. The Bluetooth Audio transmitter comes in a very unassuming package. It doesn’t look special, and it’s not very appealing. Don’t let that fool you. This is one of the more useful devices for audio listening. Inside you will find connectivity cables for audio as well as recharging. The fact that this device is battery powered is a welcome plus, because it gives you much more flexibility with regards to placement and portability on the go. The Aluratek BT5 is easy to pair and performs just as expected. You can stream audio from your preferred source and enjoy it on the Bluetooth compatible device of your choice. I use it primarily to listen to my headphones in bed while watching TV – keeps from waking up my wife. This is also great if you would like to add Bluetooth surround speakers to an existing non-Bluetooth capable sound system. The battery works very well, lasting an entire day on a full charge, and range is more than adequate. Of course, signal strength and range are affected when using through walls, but that’s to be expected with Bluetooth equipment. Overall, I more than recommend this device. I don’t think you have to be an audio enthusiast to find a use case for the Aluratek BT5. Even if you wanted to use it just to add wireless to old equipment, it is a worthwhile purchase. I highly recommend it.

This works quite well overall. Reasonably easy to set up for use with Bluetooth headphones. But I'm taking back because I forgot about the delay. I'm slightly hard of hearing so I thought I could use this with the phones while my wife listened through speakers. But unless you have clamped down, totally sound isolating headphones, the sound leaking through from the speakers mixing with the Bluetooth delayed sound will be "echoey" and very distracting. Fine with speakers off, though.

Works like its suppose to, you can't ask for no more. It's nice to have, you never know when you will need it.

Bought this for my motorcycle to link my phone to speakers since the amp and wiring is in saddle bag. Didnt want to run more wires to my phone or mp3 on handle bars. Works great easy to pair with my android phone and I love the internal 12 hour battery life. Most other units have a power cord. Also it recharges pretty quickly and has very good sound. No issues I can see

This unit works very good with my apple earbuds via Bluetooth. Simple to use.

If you need to connect something with bluetooth to something without bluetooth (i.e, bluetooth headphones to a TV) then this device is for you. It is easy to set up and the connection time is very sufficient. I have been happy with the quality of this product.

I connected this to my Soundblaster amp on my ps4, to be able to use my Skullcandy ANC Crusher headphones. Sensory bass and audio is perfect on my games :) super happy.

Been using the BT Transmitter for 3 weeks now without glitches. I have a Toshiba LCD TV and a generic Bluetooth Headphone which I use late at nights so I don't wake up my wife and kids. The audio quality is excellent. My couch is about 15 feet from the TV and works fine.

Connected to 2 bluetooth headsets and works flawlessly. Very good range too depends on your headset. My Sony headset able to receive audio even at more than 25 feet away. The size is perfect and works even when charging.
