I love the band Arctic Monkeys and trust me I've heard all their records. A lot of their fans were iffy about this record because it's so different. They call it "mainstream". Something about this album screams classic 70s/80s rock to me. It has that vibe. Lyrically and musically, the album is nothing short of brilliant. As a band, they HAVE to grow. They have to work around different sounds to create something artistically pleasing and this album did exactly that. This album has definitely gotten them a lot more fame but that's because it's just that amazing. Old Arctic Monkeys fans can just suck it up. Cause this album has given the band, as well as contemporary rock a whole new dimension. Go check out this album even if you're not an Arctic Monkeys fan!

Son discovered new favorite band. I have raised him well, to understand great music - not the modern noise that some 13 year olds are listening to. It's new and fresh without being at all obnoxious. Both music and lyrics are great. Happy to find that Best Buy had it in stock locally. Wife ordered it and son and I picked it up that day.

It's been awhile since I've listened to the arctic monkeys and it was great hearing how much they have grown and changed by listening to this album. Loved the catchy lyrics and the sweet bass lines.

There were only 3 left in stock, so naturally, it was hard to find, but the extra effort was justifed! AM is an amazing album; still listening to it regularly, 3 months after I got it.

Much better than I thought. Heard a couple songs on the radio that I liked, but the whole album is very good. I can listen to it again and again and still be entertained.

Die Hard is a wonderful series--definitely a movie for a "man's man." Classic shoot 'em up. Not as good as the original, but Samuel Jackson adds a lot to this film.

The Arctic Monkeys are super cool! Although I bought the cd because of the two songs that are played on the radio, I find myself singing aloong to other songs on the record now. Talented bunch of guys.

"...and I play it on repeat." Definitely describes this album. Slightly different sound than their previous albums but it definitely my favorite thus far.

Love this album. I really don't have much else to say other than this is a must have for any rock music fan. Trust me, you'll enjoy it.

If you know the Arctic Monkeys, you know you'll love this cd. If you don't know them, buy this cd and fall in love with them.

This was the only album by the arctic monkeys that I liked in it's totality. The whole album is fantastic. Highly recommended.

This album takes a new direction for the Arctic Monkeys. Lead singer Alex Turner returns with his distinctive voice, yet is now accompanied by sleazy guitar drawls reminiscent of the Black Keys. Back up vocals lace tracks with high pitched chimes that felt a bit odd to adjust to at first, yet quickly absorbed into the bread of the work and resulted in a natural harmony. At first blush, the entire album has a kind of pop edge and highly polished sound that's a great departure from their funk-rock debut, "Whatever People Say I Am..." which may disarm old fans, but the result feels fresh and still manages to maintain the Arctic Monkey feel. This album invokes a mood that is as sexually raw as it is introspective and brooding, while never quite feeling lethargic at its lows nor blitzed at its highs. The lyrics are perhaps where it falls shortest for me, given its superfluous and repetitious emphasis on relationships -- failed, unrequited, or otherwise -- but content aside, the crafting of the words are clever and lay well with the music itself. The result of this is an excellent record to put in for some background music, maybe worth catching a song or lyric to nod along with, but mostly fitting best in ambiance as opposed at the forefront of attention. All subjectivity aside, the record is structurally sound and well polished, bringing a nice blend of old and new elements. As a standalone rock album, I would certainly recommend this. However, if you are an old fan, it may behoove you to give it a listen on Spotify first to make up your own mind.

One of the best albums of the last year. Sexy, moody, catchy. Every song fits on the album--no duds in the bunch.

This is the first cd I have bought from this band and I was not disappointed. They have s great sound l!!

I'm into the sound and the lyrics are perfect for those emotions you get and you need a soundtrack to.

Best album they have put out so far, love the packaging too, they haven't sold out and it's great.

Loved all the songs on this one. Most CDs there's only one or two good ones, but I loved them all.

Great music to sit and chill with. Not an entire cd that i'm a fan of, but still some good music.
