I was relieved to find *any* refrigerator that would fit in the somewhat tight space when my 91-year-old mother’s died in December, just two days before my sister and brother-in-law were to arrive for two weeks—what a bonus to have it be attractive and (so far) work well! Considering other retailers were quoting April deliveries (or no available dates at all), I was somewhat skeptical it would really happen, but the delivery was on time and went smoothly. Mom is picky, but she’s unexpectedly delighted with this refrigerator. (And my brother-in-law didn’t have to stay with me, which was a bonus for all of us.)

It works, does it job, has few bells and whistles. It is a an old fishing refrigerator, which has basic controls and little sophistication of the high-tech models now available. During the summer I had to turn its cooling gauge down one notch because it was allowing refrigerator temperature to get up to 45°F on hotter days (that worked, but when cooler days arrived this fall the refrigerator temp fell to 33°F so Had to turn it upon one notch). No complaints. It works well. It does its job. You just have to pay attention to seasonal change and consequent adjustment, so not a sophisticate machine.

So far pretty good it’s a little loud and the freezer is a little small. That’s why 4 stars but other then that I like it

I do not like this refrigerator at all. We purchased during a time when refrigerators were hard to find so we got what we could for the space we had. It’s much smaller than what we could have got or need. Definitely doesn’t hold enough food for a family of 6. On top of that, it scratches so easily. It scratches just from attaching the handles. Now the handles have cracked on the plastic where it attaches to the fridge. 9 months in and handles are cracked at all 4 attachment points. Water drips from the dispenser leaving water marks on the front. I’m scared to scrub them off too hard because of how easily it scratches. To say I’m disappointed in this refrigerator would be an understatement. Don’t waste your time or money. I also tried calling to get replacement handles since I purchased a protection plan and waited on hold for 15 minutes before I was disconnected. Not a pleasant experience with the refrigerator or protection plan so far.

This Amana (Whirlpool) is small, required for my built in space, but the space utilization inside is not very good. Shelf adjustment is very limited, and freezer space is wasted to the ice maker unnecessarily. It has a small compressor so it takes a very long time to cool down, and a long time to recover if the door is opened a lot. It did not have a deli drawer (I added one from my old refrigerator) and the light bulbs inside were incandescent (160 watts of heat!!!) I changed the bulbs to LED for $12...no heat. Good news is that it uses almost half the energy that my 21 year old Kenmore (Fridgidaire) used. Awesome packaging makes handling a breeze during installation.

Great refrigerator and beautiful clear shelves make it easy to see items. Freezer is a little on the small side, and the refrigerator noise is a little louder than I would like.

I really wanted a side by side fridge, but they are so pricey. When I purchased my home Amana products were already there, & they worked fine so I kept with the brand. I absolutely love this refrigerator. It looks great & keeps everything nice & cold, even on the lowest setting. The only con is it can be a bit noisy, but i’m used to it now, so it doesn’t bother me. If your looking for a great fridge that’s easy on the wallet. This is your fridge. I would purchase again in a heartbeat.

It’s very nice but you hear the motor and the ice cube dispenser sometimes gets stuck. Otherwise , I like it for the price

If you have a very limited space for a side by side refrigerator, this is the one for you. The interior of the refrigerator is big and the freezer not that big. It has good brightness in the interior. You can solve the problem of the fingerprints on the stainless steel, rubbing some bee wax product, it works! The temperature works fine. The water dispenser can fit and refill a regular size water bottle. The only con is that it's a little noisy when making ice for the ice maker. If you find it on sale, it is a good deal.

Looks good, fits in our spot perfectly. Ice machine is slow on ice production. 1 tray in about 2-3 hours. The button for the water is positioned in a fashion, that when you push the ice button, you bump the water button. Which lets water run down the front of the refrigerator. Not a major issue, but is a small inconvenience.

The refrigerator works great, but it can be a little noisy which is why I’m not giving it five stars. So far so good.

Love this fridge! It's way better than my previous one. The water filter appears to be doing a better job than any water filter I've tried before. The side-by-side configuration is a plus and the design makes good use of the space. It holds lots of food in both the fridge and freezer. And everything is easy to see. The only reason that I didn't give it 5-stars is that it isn't a finger print resistant finish. They didn't promise it and I wasn't expecting it in this price range, but It would have been a nice feature.

I thought there would be a little more space in the freezer. I like the looks of it

Perfect for a small space. I rent an older home and the only space for a fridge was small. For anyone looking to replace a refrigerator that is 15+ years old, this fridge fits well into a tight space. The ice maker and water work well also and it keeps things VERY cold. Even on the "ideal" setting, the fridge can actually get adjusted to a warmer setting if desired.

This was the only option that fit we had for the space we have, so it is not the one I would have chosen, ideally. But it does the job, and keeps us on top of using leftovers quickly, because there is less space than we had before! Having a working ice maker and water dispenser again makes up for the loss of shelf space as far as I'm concerned.

Love my new stainless steel refrigerator! Temperature is just right. Perfect amount of space for my family of 4. Had a slight issue with the closing of the door. Amana came right out and fixed it. Bought in October haven't it had any issues since.

Since I own an older home & couldn't afford to remodel my entire kitchen, I had to buy a fridge that was shorter (65") than today's fridges (usually 68"), in order to fit under my cabinets. When buying a shorter fridge, I would've expected to lose some valuable space inside, but this fridge still feels pretty roomy. Everything works fine so far: the water dispenser, ice maker, lights, & most importantly, the food stays cold. And it's a very quiet fridge, too.

Refrigerator is good, but be careful about items falling behind the shelf where the light is. On the freezer side, the ice seems to build up near the front of the ice maker. There are times when you open the freezer door that ice will fall out. I haven't had any problems with the water/ice dispenser that others mentioned. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Looks nice in my kitchen. It’s a great size, and works beautifully. J don’t know what else to say other it’s doing what needs to be done. Ice and water line works great and was ease enough for me to hook up myself. Thanks to the manager at Best Buy that assisted me with my order.
