It's very plain. No bells and whistles. Good price though. Only reason we got Amana was because our new house had brand new Amana appliances and we wanted to keep it all the same. Reviews suggested that the ice maker is loud, but we don't seem to notice that. I have two annoying/main concerns- to turn the light on for the ice maker/water dispenser, you have to push Light On and then push Light Off to turn it off. The light does not just go on when you push the lever. Secondly, I have never used an ice dispenser that was messier than this one. This is the third stainless steel ice dispenser fridge we've had and it's the worst. The ice comes out wild and there is always ice on the floor. For these reasons, it has three stars. Can we deal? Sure. But I wouldn't buy this again.

The delivery man did not speak English, and could not communicate why he could not hook up the ice maker/water dispenser. Therefore, I had to call customer service to find out that I also needed the Amana Kit to hook up the Ice/water, even though previous refrigerator with water/ice was also Amana. Best Buy repair guy comes to house and hooks up water line with kit to refrigerator, however, water flow was just at a trickle. Even though, water/ice worked with previous refrigerator, Best Buy repair person explains that there is air in line and it will get better with time. However, with time, it only got worse and completely stopped working. I called Best Buy service again and scheduled an appointment from 2 PM to 4 PM. At 4:05 PM I called to see where the repair guys are, and was told they were on their way. At 6:10 PM , with no sign of Besy Buy’s guys, I call Best Buy again to see where their guys are, and I am told that they mistakenly had me down for a delivery and not a repair, therefore, they needed to schedule me again for the next day. I informed Best Buy that I cannot just take days off at such quick notice, and made another appointment a few days out. It has been over two weeks now with all of this nonsense, and ice maker/water is still NOT working.

In spite of the good reviews I read before purchasing this refrigerator, it has been nothing but a disappointment! First of all, it shows every fingerprint! That's just the beginning. The water dispenser within a year, started making a grinding noise. Had an appliance repairman come out, his only fix was to put a pressure gauge on our water line. Now the water comes out of the water dispenser incredibly slow. Less than 2 years later we have ice forming on the bottom of the freezer and a crack in plastic in the bottom of the freezer. Once again had an appliance repairman come out. Turns out the drain hole and pan for the freezer's defrost feature are inadequate and needs to be repaired. Thank God we bought an extended service contract on this poor excuse for a refrigerator. I fear that we are going to have constant repairs on this thing! I contacted Amana/Whirlpool and they said, sorry and we'll forward your complaints. Doubt I will hear back. Good luck if you buy this refrigerator.....

This fridge has been great solely for the water and ice feature on the front. However, it is tacky and outdated looking and the usable space is next to none. Our food goes "missing" in the back corners and gets lost behind other food. Will definitely be purchasing a French Door fridge for our next house.

Does the job nicely but I don't like the wire baskets...

Have only had the fridge 16 mos and the pump for the in door water has already gone out. Only a year warranty. Have never had a frig that had problems so soon.
