I am uncertain why I have seen some poor reviews. I purchased 2 of these to use as secondary security cameras and a part of my home automation. One is in the garage entrance and is used in conjunction to a smart garage door controller. If my garage is opened, I get a text from my Smartthings hub, my Fireplace Hue light turns red and the Cloud Cam captures everything on Video. The second Cloud Cam keeps an eye on my Yorkie and is activated when my cell phones leaves it's defined Geo Fence. These cameras were simple to set up, have good resolution and activate and begin recording a clip very quickly. For the reviewers that have stated that they don't need a clip of an empty room, I am thinking they need to upgrade their internet plan as mine captures anything the second the camera sees motion. I have just been using these a couple of days so time will tell if that are reliable but in an uncertain world of Automation, these were an easy step in the right direction.

I had an old IP camera that was a nightmare to setup via port forwarding. This is a breeze and is no more complex to setup than the Amazon Echo. Just use Wifi and Bluetooth on your phone with the app and it takes you through it. The quality is decent. The Nest camera is much better looking in my opinion, but this is great for basic home use. The best part is Amazon has a free plan to upload your videos for 24 hours. With a Nest you have to pay more after you buy the camera.

Very clear picture and functions smoothly with the app. Notifies me when there is motion in the area and the speaker sounds quite loud in order to speak to someone via the camera

I was concerned when I purchased this that I would have to get a subscription to actually be able to use this camera the way I needed to. I have actually found that the non-subscription offering is just what I needed. The setup was really easy so that was a big plus. I am able to see how my dogs are doing throughout the day, which is the primary reason why I got it. The picture is pretty good, the sound is great. I have found connectivity to be pretty solid once its on. My only issue is that I find that the home away feature that is supposed to turn your camera off when you get home or turn the camera on when you leave doesn't work as great so I find myself double checking if its actually recording when I leave sometimes. Also, there are times when I get home and the green light stays on, requiring me to go on the app to turn it off manually. This is not ideal, but I can work around it just fine.

This camera is an awesome camera. very clear during day and night, works in color in lighting but goes to black and white without lighting, night vision. I personally didn't want to get one for the home as I feel my home should be secure and the people trust worthy. I had opened my home to a friend and when I did, things started coming up missing; Thats when I bought this camera, I hooked it up on a Friday and like a bug strip, caught the issue the next day on video. The issue was solved thanks to this camera. Its very easy to hook up, very easy to install. Be aware that if you want to hold the videos for longer you will need to purchase additional options from amazon in yearly subscriptions.

We bought this camera to be able to see our dog when we are away. The sound quality it’s perfect, we can hear absolutely every sound and we can talk back with our dog.

This security camera does everything I need. It can detect any motion and notifys me via text, uses a geofence to turn the camera on and off and records my video clips free for 24 hours. A great value and does eveything I need for security for my apartment.

Purchased this to watch two pets while away and after much dileberation and actually returning other previously purchased cameras, this was IMO the best value. It has a great picture but perhaps a slight sound delay( not been an issue) easy to set up and looks great. I don’t think two people in a residence can each have an account on their phones for viewing so currently logging in under the others account.

Was recommended by store associate. After showing his personal use on his smartphone I decided to purchase one. Works in harmony with all my Amazon Echo products

Easy setup clear video nice microphone inexpensive for what you receive

Bought this after we adopted our rescue puppy and needed to keep a close eye on him once we started leaving the house for short periods of time. The live view works very well, sound is clear and vision. Detects even the slightest movements which we needed since he is so small. Worth every cent! Great value and love the Alexa integration.

I love these cameras. We set them up all the time to keep and eye on our dogs when we go out, or on the house when we are on vacation. Really great video and audio quality. That app is great and easy to use. The talk back feature is nice and works great. Awesome product for the price and convenience.

The free 24 hour cloud storage make this camera well worth it. It’s such a good value compared to very expensive cloud storage plans from Arlo & Ring. Great quality video along with the two way mic is great along with motion notifications. I have dog sitters and walkers come in almost every day and this camera adds phenomenal piece of mind.

I got this when the price dropped for a deal of the day. Thought it worked well, but the price never dropped again and Amazon purchase Nest so they are not as popular. So, I ended up purchasing the rest from TP Link - liked as well as this, but this could be viewed on a PC screen also.

I have 3 of these, the max you can have before having to pay amazon a service subscription. I've used this with web browsers and iphone app. Both work well. Picture quality is pretty good. Picture is static, you can't zoom, pan or look around. Night vision works well too. Expensive if not on sale though.

Even though the Cloud Cam still needs an AC cord I still consider it to be the best all around indoor camera. The simple set up, clean app, and best free features make this an easy choice. Have had no issues with it. 2 way audio works great. Plus you can pull the camera feed up on your Fire TV, Echo Show, or Echo Spot.

Love it. Looked at all the different cameras and this does pretty much everything if not more than all the other options out there and has a easy and friendly app to go along with it. Plus it’s proced better than most too! Even better if they could make it wireless. Only other request would be to make it useable outdoor too.

Needed just a single camera for in house use while away. This was a good choice and a good price point. Synced really easily with our Alexa and the video quality was really impressive. App was easy to use and alerts are easy received and check on a droid phone. The talk feature is a nice bonus feature.

The Cloud Cam is a great no-frills camera. It’s easy to set-up and use. The quality is what you would expect from a basic camera but the app is user friendly. Set-it up and point it where you want and it’s done. Motion detection works well and the sound is clear.

Nothing much to say about this other than it is a quality product. This camera is easy to setup and use and allows you to keep an eye on things at home. Has a great microphone that allows you to hear almost everything in the house. Camara has pretty decent clarity too for the price.
