Honestly, when it comes to the Alexa auto device, its a bit lackluster, there are better Alexa enabled automotive devices available. As are as functionalities arw concerned, it works but in my opinion, its impractical, design is terrible, and there you have it. If consumers desire Alexa in a vechile i recommend devices like iOttie with Alexa enabled. It operates as a wireless charger and gives the user full use of phone and Alexa capability.

Hello Greentree27! Thank you so much for providing feedback and a review about your Echo Auto! I am sorry to hear that it is having trouble hearing you. You should be able to hear it over your own speakers if you plug it directly into your car's 3.5mm aux with the included cable. Also, the device has a 5 microphone array built into it allowing for far reaching recognition of your voice when you say the wakeword. If it is having trouble hearing you, you can check to see if your device has any updates pending that may address this issue by saying "Alexa, check for updates." You will want to do this while your phone is connected to it for it to have network during the update. If this doesn't address the issue at all, I would recommend contacting us directly at Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 for further troubleshooting. Takes a very long time for it to understand that not every word is Alexa. It is much easier to have in the car than the previous generation.

Don't waste your money or patience.Not a single feature works consistently with this product, it's a grand idea but does not execute. Worst part is you want to really love it but the time it takes for you to realize it's not going to happen is longer than your return window. You will pull your hair out with the amount of unplugging, reinstalling,quirky results you get.

Hello, Lfarkas09. I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the Echo Auto. I recommend restarting your Echo Auto by unplugging the device, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. If after restarting your device it is still not functioning, I recommend resetting the device. You can reset the Echo Auto by pressing the Mute button, then hold down the Action button for 15 seconds until Alexa says your device is resetting. Wait for the light bar to pulse orange, then complete the setup again. If these steps do not help and you are still experiencing this issue, I recommend reaching out to Amazon Customer Support 24/7 at 1-888-280-4331. I hope these steps are helpful. Have a great day!

I bought the product and asked several times if it was difficult to in stall, and was told it would not be a problem. Well, it was a problem, so went back to store and inquired as what I was doing wrong. after talking to several people and no one knew any thing about the product! So I just returned and bought XM sat, for my car!
