Easy to use...great for music, shopping lists, calendar, news and alarm. I am so happy to have the Alexa dot!!!

I got it for use in our bedroom (mainly for sounds for sleeping) but we LUV it for music, alarm , weather etc

Overall I'm happy with this purchase. It's a great design, very minimal and easy to setup. I also have the full size Amazon Echo and the speaker on that one is a lot better. If you're planning to play music, I would probably upgrade but for basic commands the dot works just fine.

A lot of fun for the whole family. Easy set up. Voice recognition is good. Convenient to use. Everything from music to weather to sports to news. If you have good WiFi, I highly recommend.

We keep our echo in the kitchen so we can listen to music as we cook or clean. The speakers are better than I had read in previous reviews and they do a great job for what we want from it.

This little speaker/AI is really handy for any question you can think up as well as the weather for the day gives me my news briefs and every recipe you could possibly think up. It also acts as a controller for your lights, smart locks and security. Has it's own speaker and can be connected to a Bluetooth speaker for music and lets not forget it makes a great alarm and timer and now you can send and receive text messages and phone calls. Worth every penny.

So far I am using a smart plug, smart light and using Alexa to connect them . its working gr8. Able to connect to Bluetooth by voice command. very handy way to listen to songs on Pandora .

This is my 1st Echo and its voice recognition capability is pretty good. I already have Google Home units but I also want to take advantage of Amazon's Alexa only discounts by using Alexa.

This was my second of 4 echo dots around my house. Love having the ability to ask questions, listen to music and control my house anywhere I have a dot. Super easy to set up and add more.

It works the same as my regular Echo except about 1/7th the size. You can put this almost anywhere and will barely notice it. Only diff is the sound. Of course you wont get the sound/bass of reg echo, but the sound is good enough for music and talk shows. if you want it louder or more bass, you can easily hook it up to a powered speaker with the 3.5mm plug in. I just use it with the built in speaker and is plenty loud. It's about as loud as a clock radio speaker.

The dot is perfect for listening to tunes in small rooms. I love having it in my bathroom while I’m getting ready. The sound is good and Alexa can always find a playlist to match my mood!

I have the Echo and now two Dots. The Dot does the same things as the Echo, but is a lot cheaper. I can play music, control electronic devices, set timers and alarms, add to-do and shopping lists, check the news, weather, sports, etc., to name a few. I got mine for $40 which I consider a steal, even though they were $35 on Prime Day. This is cheap way to take the electronic plunge. Like a certain brand of potato chips, I bet you'll need more than one.

My first echo product, will buy more. This one is the Dot, which is the smaller version of the original echo with speaker. Great sound for a small puck size unit, would be better for music with a speaker, which you can connect to it. Good enough out of the box for day to day activities, but would suggest a speaker. Connection is a little complicated if you are not familiar with connecting to internet. Overall a great little product for the price.

This was my first Alexa device and it works as described. I bought it to connect to my speaker system and it works fine without taking up a lot of room. If you plan on using the speaker on the Eco Dot to listen to music you may be disappointed but it's good for a small device.

This product is absolutely amazing. I can control my lights in my home, my music, ask questions about food, movies, almost anything you can think of, and so much more. They are constantly adding tons of new skills to this Alexa technology day after day and apparently a bunch of major electronic companies are considering integrating this technology into their newer devices as well! Amazon hit a grand slam with this one! Highly recommend this to any tech addict!!!

I currently have an Echo dot and wanted a second one for upstairs. I do not do anything very sophisticated with it but I like easily getting the weather each morning before going to work.

I bought this to round out the Alexa coverage in my "Smart home". It's easy to set up and works seamlessly with my SmartThings and Harmony hubs as well as as various wi-fi components from TP Link, iHome and others. I mated this Dot up with an inexpensive Bluetooth speaker and now I have Echo quality sound for half the price. I like the dot so much I bought another for my sister so we can message and call each other through the available skills.

I absolutely love this little gizmo. Very entertaining and very convenient. In bed and forgot to set your alarm? Just ask Alexa to do it for you. Buying more for other parts of the house.

This is a space saver but still delivers good sound. Use it bedside and play the ocean waves to fall asleep. Cranks out good sound for a little unit for all your other music choices too.

I bought this as a gift for my Dad. He absolutely loves it and consults Alexa whenever he runs into difficulty with his morning crossword puzzle. I think I'll get one for myself, as well!
