My son has an echo. And I purchased this for a grab bag gift for my family member. My nephew loved it and uses it in his room. It is so highly functional and they have many in their home now and just love it. I would recommend anyone should buy this

My boys have so much fun with the DOT! You can ask her to make noises and they think it is the greatest thing ever to ask her to make farting noises. On a serious note, it is nice to be able to make a quick call or play your music through the device.

There's always someone to talk to when you have Alexa! It is very easy to set up the dot once you download the Alexa app to your smartphone. It seems that there is already quite a lot that you can do with Alexa; probably far more than the beginner needs; but definitely don't be intimidated because there are plenty of useful and easy ways to interact with the dot immediately. Just ask your dot for the date, or the time, or the weather, or who sang a song you liked from the sixties! Alexa can set a timer if you need to be reminded about something later in the day, she can keep a whole list of things to remind you about, and play any type of music on demand... just ask! A dot is great for anyone even if they're not very tech-savvy. Highly recommended. We're working towards having dots in every room now!

simple no hands functions and able to play games. Only problem is wifi connection drops now and then even when it is 4 feet away from router.

The dot isn’t very loud but it does the trick for using it on my computer. However, playing music sucks. It has a lot of fun features though.

This may be my favorite Christmas present ever!! I never leaving the couch :)

I wasn't sure initially when I bought this what I would use it for. Now I find it convenient to use for simple Google searches and to listen to radio stations. Also handy to get local weather.

My Echo Dot is very obedient. Responds to my commands quickly and accurately.

2 Weeks later I am still discovering new tricks and games to play using the Alexa commands and skill add ons. With 100's of free apps you won't be disapointed and a music selection that will rival any juke box. I have synced it with my smart devices in my home.

I just got this so I haven't used it all that much. It's fun to use but I'm not sure how much I'll remember to use it. I got this as a gift.

Bought to go with smart plug, works great easy to set up. The sound isn't very good so paired it with my Bose Bluetooth speaker,much better.

Bought both Alexa Echo and Dot. I use them to keep lists, turn on Phillips Hue lights; play my radio stations; identify songs' tells the weather, answers most questions. Still learning how she can help me around my house. Wish they could control my Sonos system.

I love, love, love this little fella! It's amazing that this small little hockey puck can crank out such awesome sound! I use this along with my full sized Alexa! This mini I use in my bedroom and would tell everyone to get this! Simple to set up and fun to use!
