Been using it as an intercom and has been the cheapest and most user friendly for my house.

I have both the original Echo and the Dot. It's nice to have the option of having them around the living areas.

I bought the Amazon Dot on a whim since I was interested to see what all the hub bub was about. It's useful for the ability to check sports scores and setting cooking timers. My only real complaint is that the speaker when playing music is weaker than I would like. I know that the regular Amazon Echo has a better speaker but I can connect the Dot to one of my Blutooth speakers if I really want to play music out loud. It's worth the price and they add little features every so often (Jeopardy, This Day in History, etc) that are fun to use.

Use this echo for each day for Everything from weather, music and set alarm at night to wake!

Really affordable way to get the convenience of Alexa in an extra room. Not good sound for music but perfectly fine for all the other stuff. And it’s small.

The product is great addition to your home for those that already have an Echo. It’s great for quick commands and room-to-room communication. However if want great sound quality, you will need to go with a more expensive model.

We love this little machine. The G-Kids especially love to ask her to play songs, etc. She knows almost everything!

Bought for another room - have Echo already. Sound not as good as big model but works fine and cheaper pricing.

The Echo Dot is a stand alone IoT device able to accept voice commands. Speaker pick up of your voice is excellent.

Alexa has made a great addition to the family. My grandkids love asking about weather, word spelling and math help.
