I'm an adult, and I bought this Tiger Echo Dot (sphere) for my own use. I think it is just SO cute. My primary need was to have an easy to use speakerphone on my desk so that when people called, or I had to call someone, I could keep working and typing while maintaining the phone conversation. Sure, I could have bought an actual speakerphone unit. But this is so so much better. I've loaded in an unboxing video to show how it comes packaged, and how it starts up. It was incredibly easy to install and also quite easy to set up for 'adult use' without the children restrictions. I have it set to turn on the office lights, the living room lights, and so on. I can easily check the weather or add items to a to-do list. It plays music and I even enjoy the daily Jeopardy trivia game. For me, the most important use is the speakerphone. I can call any phone out there and have long, crystal-clear conversations while I do my work. For someone to call me, they need to use the Alexa app to call in to my tiger. I'm fine with that. If someone really wants to chat for a while, they can message me so that I initiate the call to them. I'll note that some people complain about the 'not perfect' audio quality. I'm not sure what someone expects from a tiny plastic sphere. I have Harman Kardon speakers on my desk. If I really want stellar classical music, I'll play through those. But if I just want something poppy in the background while I work? The tiger is absolutely perfect for that. Ask with any questions - I'm quite pleased!

Love this thing! It’s super cute, and it keeps our 5 year old from using the one in the living room to play her songs or games with. I can set parameters. It can keep her from making purchases like she could on the regular ones. It can even tell her bedtime stories or set habits like “goodnight” and “goodmorning” times. I can actually drop in from ours in our room and listen to her in hers, or talk with her like walkie talkies with them!

My girlfriend has always commented on how cute the kid echo dots are, so I bought this hoping I’d be able to disable the parental and kid features and give it to her. Right after setup, there’s an option in the Alexa app to completely disable all child functions and settings, so it’s able to be used as a regular old dot! We’ve had a smart ecosystem for quite some time but my girlfriend has been asking for one just for her desk to play music quietly, and this certainly fits the bill. And it is definitely cute too!

My kids love it and they use it a lot, thought they wouldn’t use it so much, but they use it for Blippi music and baby shark of course haha. But great for kids, for them to learn with my son know star now it’s great

Well I’m not sure about this. It’s awesome for very young children but it doesn’t do what the regular Alexa does so we didn’t really like it. It was on sale for $20 so I’m not going to complain too much but keep taht in mind

I ordered this for My children to assist them during virtual school. Kids absolutely love it! It’s cute and it also plays music/tell jokes/ reads books. It’s awesome! Well worth The price.

Great for kids! My son is able to drop in on his Nanny and talk to her from his room without using a phone. You can set it up so they can only contact certain people, or drop in on other areas of your home with a smart speaker. He gets story time any time he wants, from books and stories we don't have in print. He can listen to music, ask for help with his school work and plays games. He really enjoys having it. I like that I'm able to control what it is he has access to, and that unless someone is in his contacts they can't contact him also.

This is really small and cute..sound quality is great

Replaces our old stereo/boom boxes of my youth. Great sound, out of a tiny package! Not only does it play music well, it answers lots of silly questions that would normally be directed to me or mom!

My son loves his alexa, it was super easy to setup and get it started. We use it everyday.

Now a days, the internet of things is taking over the homes all over America. I think everyone out there knows what an "echo" is or what "Alexa" does. This device is intended for kids and it is a great addition if you know how to use the features and skills it has. I think my biggest complain is just that, not knowing all the features from the get go. It comes with 1 year membership to a library of kid apps and skills, but unless you know what you want or want to spend hours on end investigating what each one does, it is not fun at all. After the kids learn to use it however, it is a fun device and just good to have in each of the kids rooms. We set up alarms for school, timers, reminders (for reading, homework, etc.) And also when you have a lot of these in the home, you can setup a broadcast system which works similar to intercom. Allows you to speak to all of them in the home from your phone or another echo device in the home. You can also speak from one echo to another echo, but I have that disabled on the kids devices. Only incoming messages/calls from echos in the same home are allowed. It has a lot of fun activities, and my kids enjoy playing the baking game where Alexa asks what you want to bake and what ingredients you would like, and they have fun saying silly things like "hamburger" and Alexa says "ok, I have added hamburger to the cake, what else would you like to add?" endless laughter. It also helps with reading, and if you try the disney reading, with a disney book, this adds background music and sounds, which is pretty cool when reading. Totally worth it.

Great sound, adorable package, easy to set up, and a free subscription to Amazon Kids. My daughter LOVES her Echo Dot tiger. She uses it for audio books, music, an alarm, and as a white noise machine when she goes to bed. We have several Echos in the house, and it's easy to use it as a paging system through our home to call our kids to dinner too.

I bought this for my kids a while ago and they love it. It has a lot of educational features an games on there for them. It's very good for inside the house. Just ask Alexa to intercom their device and speak to them through their. But overall best buy for you money.
