My kids love my Alexa and wanted their own to set their own times with, play games, ask about the weather, and ask for their favorite music to be played. This is very responsive and plenty loud enough for my kids’ rooms. It is also sensitive to commands, as it responds to my voice when I am in the living room talking to the family Alexa. I love the light communication to let me know if Alexa has heart us along with the other ways the lights communicate. Ovearll, this is a great device. It is plenty loud enough, very responsive to the voice, and quick. We are very happy.

I got this to replace my 3rd generation Dot and the sound quality is much better. I like the new design and it is just as easy to setup as my old Dot.

I bought several of these for around the house and absolutely love them, very easy to set up and the sound quality is fantastic for there size, even a little improvement over the great sounding gen 3. You can adjust the eq in the app also to tweak the sound. I love the new look of these also.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. He loves it! He uses this Echo Dot to turn devices on and off, control the thermostat and door lock. He even uses her to play music (my primary reason for gifting) . We have her set for “whole house “ music which is a plus. We also use her as an intercom system since we have an Alexa device on each level of the house. Set up was easy and was largely a matter of telling Alexa to discover devices. Add a great price and fast delivery and this was a great buy. Some reviewers appeared to expect greater sound and volume, but we are satisfied.

This is so helpful in my kitchen when I can’t use my hands to use my phone for music, time, and cooking questions!

Great sound. Alexa doesn't always understand the question or give the best reply, but it's great for music. Wish it didn't default to Amazon music as I prefer Spotify.

It's a brilliant smart speaker that keeps things impressively simple. This 4th generation has a radically different design and much-improved sound.

Nice sound. I like the shape and sound of this Alexa. It was easy to set up. Only negative is I got the charcoal color but it came with a white power cord.

Very good bass and sound quality, we mainly use it as a music player and it does very good at producing good sound in a large room.

It is my second Amazon echo. The best smart speaker so far. Would recommend 10/10.

Bought 2 and linked them together to play in stereo. Easy to setup and the sound is acceptable. The sound is a little better than the previous generation but seems like it has faster processing time. It’s a toss up on whether it is worth paying extra for the new redesigned look and slightly better sound and processing speed. You can buy 2 of the previous generation echos and stereo pair them for about the same price as 1 of these and I’m sure you will be quite happy with the sound. I have 4 of the echo dot 3rd generation already, wanted to try the gen 4 model.

This was my first one and still love it. It keeps updated, has excellent sound, and gives me quick responses to all my inquiries.

I kind of hesitated getting this new generation of Echo Dot speakers because of their size, but the price was great so I took the plunge. After getting the speakers and setting them up I'm glad I did. The sound is quite a bit better than the gen 3 speakers, the new Dots are not too big, and they look cool to boot. They connected seamlessly with my mesh wifi, ring doorbells, and my phone, and make a great addition to my home automation suite. Highly recommended.
