I've finally upgraded my old 2nd gen Dot to the new 4th gen. It does the same thing, but the sound is noticeably better. I really like the new round ball shape and the light on the bottom. Looks great on my desk.

We have 5 Amazon echoes through out are home, 4 4th generation dots, 2 with clocks, and 1 large premium sound dot in the kitchen. They work great and I would recommend them to any family, the are extremely helpful in many ways, the only thing is you have to be willing to study and learn them as a family. It takes time, best to start with the basics and go from there. In time you will be glad you did. They have made it to where my family doesn’t have to constantly scream back and forth at each other. Next we’re planning on getting a ring security system to connect to the echoes and the lights. Hopefully soon we will have a true smart home.

Never thought I would want an Alexa device but it has really been amazing. Even simple things such as setting alarms or controlling lights in the room, make it worth the price. Definitely a must in your home.

This is an excellent product. I have several models of Amazon Echo devices and satisfied with all of them. Sound quality on this one is better than the others. I recently bought a new home and have been upgrading lights/TVs for Alexa use. I was surprised to find that the Echo-Dot (4th Gen) had a capability to detect movement and automatically turn on lights when someone passed by. Have placed this device in our library room primarily to play music, adjust lights and answer questions. Very satisfied with the performance and pricing of the Echo Dot (4th Gen) - exceeded my expectations.

Alexa! What can I do without you? I purchased this one after having a past generation one. This one is not only louder, it has so many great capabilities. More features and a nicer design as well.

I have bought multiple of these Echo Dots and they work great as a personal home assistant for most of your smart home/entertainment needs.

Great sound. Louder then expected. Small bedroom or big bathroom it’s perfect. Much better then it should be for its size. Ended up with 6 and 2 of the bigger echos for the master and the kitchen/living room

I LOVE this product. It works well and I can leave messages to the family via Alexa if they dont answer their phones. And I have the Phillips hue lights and it works great with them as well.

Best purchase ever, we have them in every room and they work great for announcing things, dropping in to the bedrooms when we need to talk to someone, and listening to music.

The new Echo Dot 4th Gen is great for my Home office where most equipment is black and blue. Great looks, sound and connects to Alexa and all my home automation.

I love this little baby I’d honestly pay up to $100 for it no lie. I’ve never used Siri on my phone or Alexa when I had my galaxy phone but this I like. The speakers get loud but the sound at maximum doesn’t sound great. I wouldn’t turn this up past 75% but this little ball is so much more then a speaker. Just buy it lol it’s only $35 and you can return it lol I’m serious it’s awesome and the fact that it acts as a smart hub also just pushes it over the edge. I will probably give this one to my mother in a couple months and purchase the more expensive one with the bigger speaker not cause this speaker is bad but cause I think this one is very underpriced.

This is a great purchase it works with the Echo show we have and works well with all our equipment - it was easy to sync and align with other Alexa products at home - this smart speaker answers to all questions, great sound , various options for setting up alarm and good for making announcements - overall a great buy my son luvs it.

I will admit I was hesitant to try this; that said, it is amazing . I have only begun to explore the possibilities. I'm enjoying the ease of playing radio stations and music. Set up was very easy.

Have three Dots with clocks. Purchased this for the Living Room so I did not need the clock. Easy to set up and sync with Alexa app. Small enough to stay out of the way.

My first of many echo products, find this one to be rebost in design and fullness of sound. Be cautioned that it is always listening which could be a good and a bad thing but it delivers on demand.

This is our 4th Alexa and by far the best one. Our family loves this smart speaker and the color is amazing. It speaks different languages as well. It came with 2 free light bulbs,

Decent sound quality easy to setup and use no issues so far

This was a Christmas present for my wife's home office so she could listen to music, audio books and current news. She loved it from the start for podcast and the ease of using voice commands.

It’s my reliable alarm with a great music speaker; it’s been a wealth of information when I ask for it…all at a great price. The downside is it’s Amazon, not Apple.

This was to replace a 1st generation Echo Dot. The sound is better, It looks better than the hockey puck that was Gen 1. My main complaint is the power. Gen 1 used a USB B Mini connector, my socket has 2 USB outlets so no problem. This Gen 4 has a big plug making me rearrange other items that were plugged into that outlet.
