Pretty cool device. It's an interesting new design from Amazon. It is a little bigger than the old flat small echoes, but that's okay.

Have gens 1-3 and this is a steady improvement in them in sound quality. Our family has many throughout the house and this one was put in my elderly mother's bathroom in case she has any issues in the bath and can't get to the alert pendant. She can just ask Alexa to call my phone or make an announcement and help will be on the way. My only slight issue with it is the light is on the bottom and with the spherical shape can make it hard to see to see the notification signal etc.

I purchased an Echo Dot when they first became available. I have relied on it ever since. The original wore out and I selected this one to replace it. It is a handy tool that I use daily for simple things like an alarm, a timer, the weather forecast, ordinary reminders, music, to add numbers, to spell an occasional word, to answer a random question, etc. I encourage everyone to try out those valuable inexpensive device.

Amazon echo is great to have in another room and connected to Amazon Show. This is small and takes up little space but has great sound.

Although I'm sure I've subjected my personal conversations and music choices to the scrutiny of the NSA, I have to appreciate the sound quality. Since I live a pretty boring life, I don't fear the overreach of the government spying programs tied to the Amazon Echo dot as I appreciate telling my Echo Show, 3 Echo Dots to "play me some Benny Goodman" as the sweet sounds of the late '30's clarinet reminds me of a bygone area where government overreach simply meant we were defeating the facists

We love echo dots and this new style looks great! It doesn’t take up a lot of room and still has good sound especially for the size.
