Bought for someone older who is not technologically advanced and she loves it . It’s easy for her to use and it gives me peace of mind knowing if there is an emergency she call ask Alexa to call me or 911

Having an Echo Dot has been very fun! It's great being able to turn on lights without stumbling around to find light switches, being able to listen to music, and learning about all the different skills!

You can’t go wrong with this device the only problem is every now and then while watching TV I think someone said Alexa. Are use this to control my Phillip Hughes lights among other things and never really has a problem. The design is really a conversational piece when people see it they say hey what’s that and there you go!

It is a handy thing to have around the house and it has great sound.I like the fact that you can get the current outside temperature and weather forecast 24 hours a day. Yes I would recommend this device.

If you have a 2nd gen dot, it is definitely an upgrade from that. Much better speaker and better mic detection. If you have a 3rd gen, its not that much of an upgrade. The speakers are about the same with the exception of slightly better quality of voice audio. Sounds a little less muffled. Other than that its about the same as the 3rd gen.

The echoes keep getting better and better! There isn’t much to say about this except that the speaker is a lot louder than the 3rd gen, which is a good thing. A little bulkier but still, it’s amazing.

4th generation Echo Dot to add to my 2nd gen Dots which I love as they listen to everything I do. Privacy issues aside, it helps automate my house. Enables laziness supreme.

Already have an Echo Show in our bedroom, got this for the family room initially to turn on the table lamps but use it for many other things. Wish I got the 3 pack. Find it extremely useful and fun.

I love it I actually got one for Christmas And my stepmom and dad wanted one so I but 2 of them I mainly use mine for music And I'd like to light feature that it turns off the light with the smart bulb

Not sure why the low ratings. I think it sounds better than 3rd even though not by much, Not as muffled and definitely more bass. Not a big fan of the ball shape. Like how the light works at the bottom. Agreed with the low ratings for black with white cord tho. it is kind of stupid idea.

We love our Echo Dot! It is quite amazing what Alexa knows and can do. I play music on it a lot, and it sounds great! I was using Sonos previously, and this sounds just as good!

Works very well and has good sound. Bought it for Sister who “wanted an Alexa.” She is not able to purchase or get things like this. It was a simple set up and it does everything she wanted it to do.

first time buyer of a smart speaker. So far, I like it a lot. i'm sure I'm just scratching the surface in all that it can do but very east and self explanatory. happy with my purchase

A really (Excellent) addition for any modern family. Excellent audio, fast responses, and quality made. We are extremely happy with the Echo Dot 4th Gen. Buy one, and you won't be disappointed.

This item is great. Paired it with a light and it’s a cool gadget. I have it on the spare room. Guess love that they can listen to music. Set up an alarm or turn the light on or off.

Bought this to pair with my other echo. As with my other echo, the dot sounds great and my wife likes the size because she can basically put it anywhere.

Love the Echo, I have the Dot and the Show. I have my house fully connected to it. Nest and Ring, Schlage Lock and MyQ garage are compatible , also compatible with my plugs, outlets and light bulbs.

I am enjoying the little echo dot as a fill in to my Amazon echo 5. It is fun to ask questions, have it make animal sounds and control the smart light bulb. Easy to set up for a young senior citizen.

I really like the sound quality. It just works well. I don't notice much difference between this one and the puck version. I got this on sale. I think regular price might be too much.
