Much improved version of the Echo Dot. The 3rd gen had a slightly muffled voice and music was adequate. This 4th gen version has a forward facing speaker that improves both of those issues..I find it to be a very useful tool.

This was an upgrade from the original echo Dot. Much better sound, base and volume.

Perfect speaker, gave it to my mom for her birthday. She uses it everyday to ask Alexa to play music, tell her the weather, turn on the light, etc

Like the 3rd gen Echo Dot, this is easy to install, accepts Alexa commands and sounds fine for casual listening. But having the lights at the bottom makes it harder to see activity and notifications compared to the 3rd gen. The sound seems tinnier to me with less bass. This charcoal Dot came with a white power cable which isn't as clean of a look as the black cable that came with the 3rd gen.

This is my third echo in my house. I love having them in the rooms. If nothing good on TV I turn on the music so easy to do or I make calls to my kids.

Purchased this mainly to program an off/on light control when I am not home. Very easy to program a smart light bulb and I am not a techie. Plus other functions are nice....turning on and off tv, calling my contacts, etc.

Love this speaker! The sounds quality is outstanding! I usually play podcasts or music in my office while I’m working and was always going back and forth with speakers and Alexa, it’s nice to have it all in one!

I bought two for the living room and the play room. The sound quality is excellent and you can simultaneously play music on both which creates a surround sound environment. It’s works flawlessly with other echo devices.

I love my alexa. It is very helpful and with amazon music subscription, I just say alexa play and then the song name and it plays. I wish I would have bought it sooner! Sounds great too. Excellent value for the price.

The sound is amazingly better than the 3rd generation, although it does sacrifice the size and portability to have the better sound. Also looks great!

I was a fan of the old system, but this truly outdoes my expectation...and the sound is great. Will likely buy a few more for interlinking with my Amazon Fire TV devices to extend audio from my televisions as well.

Its a downgrade on sound compared to echo sound 3rd generation. I don't know if it was just me who noticed it so i ask a couple of friends and picked echo dot 3rd gen. For for sound. Design wise i like the echo 4th gen.

Good speaker ..nice sounding very eazy to install and very portable

This Alexa was purchased for the master bedroom. Easily linked to other Alexa speakers and is now set to control lights and security system. Several routines were created for morning, home arrival, and bedtime.

I bought this for a small area at work. The radio doesn’t always get good reception. We listen to Amazon music and the speaker is loud and clear. Excellent sound! We also use it for reminders and the weather report.

I love my Alexa. It plays wonderful music for me and reminds me of some appointments. When I am cleaning the house I ask Alexa to play my favorite music, it makes the job easier for me. The sound is excellent.

Love the Echo Dot! I use two Echo Dots, paired with a standard Echo 4th Gen, as surround sound hooked up to my Fire Tv. Works like a dream, and sounds great! Also super easy to setup.

Has surpassed my expectation on ease of use and working. The app was simple to setup the Echo and to add special commands making it simple and quick to get music, weather or news.

Purchase this for my bathroom and I have to say I love it. Great Sound and you can adjust bass and treble. I'm purchasing another one for my kitchen. BestBuy delivered it the next day, quicker then Amazon would have.
