The surprise here is the sound quality. Even at low volume, the sound is decent. I use mine in my home office so it's on almost all the time. The sound isn't quite as good as my larger Echos, but that's OK for this use. I also like that the clock brightness can be adjusted (through the app), and the size, which is roughly the size of softball. My only complaint is that the Echo Dot isn't as responsive to my voice as the Echo I use elsewhere in the house. If you're familiar with Alexa, then you know what it can do so I won't mention any of that.

This echo dot is fun, full of information, and easy to use. Just ask Alexa, and tour on your way. I love the alarm clock function which is one of the best available today. My only dislike, which is unusual, is that the over all volume level is a little too loud for my liking even at the lowest setting . I like to chill to some low level music that is ever so low in volume that you can just barely hear it, This of course can be remedied as the product is continuously developed, and improved upon.

I bought this 4th Gen Alexa to replace a 2nd Gen on mostly to have the ability to have a better quality sounding speaker. So far I've enjoyed it; I mostly use it to motivate me when I'm doing laundry (which we all know is boring anyways). Have the clock on the device is a nice feature and it does dim automatically when you turn your lights off. It sets up very easily with the Alexa app as well.

I use my echo everyday. It helps me wake up in the morning and helps me to go to sleep at night with uts rain effect sounds. I like the fact that the time is displayed so i dont have ask alexa what time it is.

We have 3 other dots of the older model. I wanted the clock for my bedside and wasn't sure I'd like the new design. I do like the new look of this dot, and the blue color matches my room decor perfect. The dim of the clock when the room lights are not on is a big hit for me. Easy set up. It did take a few tries to figure out how to have the alarm volume start off at 1 and then increase.

Exactly what we were looking for and more. Got 1 for each of the kids room. The app is easy to use. Can now communicate throughout the house without screaming from room to room to get kids attention. Perfect if kids bedrooms are on different levels of the house. And that just for the parents, the kids love the easy setting of alarm and display of clock plus access to Amazon Music Service

These don't go on sale all the time like the non-clock versions do, but I think they are worth waiting for. I have these in each of my kids rooms. I never to worry about setting the time when the power goes out, or for daylight saving time, or when batteries die. They have a clock that is always right, and the kids can set alarms and timers, all without a another screen competing for their attention. I already had 3rd gen echo dots in each of the bedrooms, and was considering getting a clock for each room too. WiFi clocks meant 2 devices instead of 1 clogging the WiFi, and decent atomic clocks that I felt confident would be set once and forget were just as expensive. Switching to these and repurposing the old dots just ended up being the best option and has worked out well. The sound quality is good enough for our uses, and they have better mics / pickup than the big expensive rotating Echo Show 10 we have in the kitchen. And telling Alexa to play obnoxious, annoying songs on all of them simultaneously works great for getting kids up in the morning.

Works great if your new to the echo dot there cool the speaker is good on it I like the clock kinda sad it didn’t come in black with clock tho easy to use easy to set up only reason I’m putting 4 stars is the voice response deosnt pick up as well as the 3rd gen sometimes you have to raise your voice to it the 3rd you could just about whisper but definitely worth the clock with it granted you can ask it the time but if you wake up in the middle of the night you don’t really want it talking in your ear it’s nice
