Works great if your new to the echo dot there cool the speaker is good on it I like the clock kinda sad it didn’t come in black with clock tho easy to use easy to set up only reason I’m putting 4 stars is the voice response deosnt pick up as well as the 3rd gen sometimes you have to raise your voice to it the 3rd you could just about whisper but definitely worth the clock with it granted you can ask it the time but if you wake up in the middle of the night you don’t really want it talking in your ear it’s nice

good conversation, with jokes so simple that they generate laughter and the best thing is that it accompanies me on long nights at work. About the product: beautiful elegant design 9/10, adequate audio quality 7.5/10, connectivity a little laborious for beginners 7/10. Totally recommended

I've bought this speaker a few times, to gift and we have two at our house. We love them and the people we've gifted it to also say the same. The white color is beautiful and the clock display looks great in the dark as well as in light. And Alexa makes your life easier and tasks and much more fun. Give it a try.

Echo Dot is very easy to use and my wife loves it. It blends in well with surrounding decorations and looks great.The time clock on the front is easy to see and the sound quality is very good. Responds well to your voice and is very easy to set up. Sounds awesome when you have a few of these spread out throughout your house.

I like the sleek new look of these & the time stamp is a nice added feature. It’s a perfect size for my office at work. Got to use my rewards points so, it brought the price down a bit - a win win. I got the white/grayish color but, the blue color is nice too.

I have had all generations of the Echo Dot and this 4th Gen is the best of them all! The speakers blow all previous versions out of the water and the addition of the clock is perfect for my two teen boys to "help" get them up (noting wakes them up). Easy setup, great price over the holidays, and sounds better than ever.

Sounds really great, and the color is beautiful. The clock is the perfect addition to this thing! We put it in our 6 year olds room so he can keep track of time until he learns analog clocks, which we will make sure he knows!

As expected, Amazon Alexa line of products does it again! Just as reliable with the voice response, the speaker is incredible for its size. In comparison to the Apple HomePod mini for $100, I prefer the new echo dot. Looks great, visible clock option and only speaks when spoken to unlike the Apple HomePod mini that randomly plays music even when I’m not in the room. Amazon got it right with the new design and speaker quality. Kudos for also improving it’s intelligence when asking questions. I’m happy with the echo dots’ evolution since the first version. If you’re trying to decide to pay a little more for the clock, do so. It’s well worth it! Also, I’m an iOS user (across the board) and as excited as I was to get the Apple HomePod mini, the fourth generation Echo Dot with clock is a lot more reliable for only a third of the price.

I often wake up in the middle of the night and would like to know the time without checking my bright phone so this Alexa clock is perfect. I often use it to tell me the weather, play music, set alarms/timers, access my tv, and talk to the other Alexa’s around the house.

I've owned a range of Echo products, from the Flex (interesting, but don't use it for music unless you have an external speaker) to the Show (1st gen - Pretty good) to the Studio (sounds really good.) This version of the Dot (just rename it the Sphere or Echoball or something...) is about the size of a softball and deceptively heavy. (Not horribly so, just more than I expected - and very much more so than the 3rd gen Dot.) Setup is a process I'm just used to now - Alexa app, tell it to find the device, give it the wifi information, done. I'm not sure if it's familiarity on my part, being made easier on Amazon's part or both, but this process seems to get faster all the time. The notification light ring is on the bottom of this (as you can sort of tell in the pictures.) Not sure if that's better or worse - it'll still be noticeable. The older Dots had an advantage in being short "hockey pucks," not taking much space and even allowing for some creative mounts (such as those that mounted them sideways, unobtrusively, on the wall.) Those mounts obviously won't work with this - and I can't see mounting this sideways on a wall. But while this is bigger and ... more spherical, it won't look jarring just sitting on a table or nightstand out of the way. (As far as the old mounts, you can still use the "outlet shelf" - it just sits on top.) Sound wise, this is actually better than I expected. Not Studio-good, but pretty respectable. The one complaint I have is the same one I had with the last generation - there are versions *with* the LED clock, which I tend to want, and there are versions (most of them) without it. To me, this should just be a standard thing - if you don't want a clock, it's push-button easy to just turn it off, after all, and it would add some flexibility if (say) you move it to another room where a clock would be handy. (It's part of why I bought this. Plus being on sale.) All in all? Not a bad little device, sounds pretty decent with most of what I listen to. Just make the clock a standard feature across the Dot line and my only real complaint would be gone.

Fantastic! I own 4 of these and have one in every bedroom! Love that it displays the time, has an alarm, quality sound and music! Just purchased one for my family member for Christmas! It’s a must have item!

I love this echo dot! It was very easy to install and works well for everyday use. It makes things so much easier and I love that this one comes with a clock. I use it as a speaker, for reminders, alarms, to control the lights, and for so much more. I highly recommend.

I like it it works good and I like the clock and the weather and and stuff on the front of it it is very cool and I like to design of that echo and I like the ring on the bottom of it when it lights up it is cool and it is easy to use

Great size. This new ball shape is so cool. Its sounds great. For the small size its amazing how nice it sounds. We out this one in the bathroom for those long showers n stuff. Just ask Alexa to play your song and your all set. Also the blue color is the best! Enjoy friends. Take care

We wanted to have a smart device with a visible clock. It was very easy to set up, and works very well as an alarm and as a speaker. The sound quality is good. The size is perfect for a bedside table.

Sounds great for such a small speaker. Very cool that the clock displays through the material. You can turn clock off by telling Alexa to turn off clock. We have two devices in bedroom and listen to rain sounds at night. Perfectly aligned in sound. Great product.

Use this on a daily basis. Have my lights, TV and anything else I can hooked up to this device. Very easy to use, small enough to put on a night stand, the clock is perfect to replace your old alarm clock and only have one device on the end table.

Love this Product… Very easy to install and very easy to work… I love my echo allows me to play music, set an alarm, ask questions, and I love the fact that it displays the time on the front… Highly recommend

In my opinion, Amazon never fails to impress. The new Echo Dot looks great in any room. The clock on the display is very convenient. This device also sounds great playing my Xmas music!
