This tablet includes a perfect case for kids and is very durable. Price is great as well. However specs aren't that great, it can be pretty slow and some stuff is poorly setup. It has room for improvement but is probably one of the best kids tablets and the best value so its hard to complain. If I was in the market again I would definitely look at the Amazon tablets again but probably try a newer model.

Great price point! There hasn’t been any negative feedback. Parental controls are exceptional, Color options provided makes it easier to tell apart from other siblings and Construction seems strong. As grandparents we try to support our grands/adult children to help facilitate a good foundation for learning at all levels. We want open minded intelligent thinkers for tomorrow. No cry rooms needed. We love the versatility for kids. Recommending this product to any one with all he groups. Grands haven’t used it yet therefore only gave ease of use as good.

Excellent for little kids. But you need to lock down the downloads because the memory get full and it gets bogged down.

This tablet is simple to set up and very easy to use. You can easily control your kids apps and time limits. I love that the kids cant get into the settings or adult content without a pin. Youtube videos are available offline for 24 hours after you watch them and as long as you've downloaded the freetime apps, the kids can still play games offline on long road trips. The stand on the case is a great addition since the last time we purchased a kindle fire 4 years ago and I love Amazons 2 year worry free guarantee.

Nice tablet. Sturdy for small hands. Easy to set up and operate. Nice parental controls. Battery life excellent.

I loved it and my kids definitely enjoyed it as well. I had parent control and could even go behind them and see what things they was watching or viewing and you have to download the apps that you will like for them to enjoy. We loved it and was disappointed when we couldn’t get a new one when my son broke his screen due to them no longer had them available and had to get a new or gift card.

Keeps kids occupied for hours and great for learning

Got this for my daughter to use while taking long car rides. It’s perfect for her since she’s so young, but as an adult, I can tell you the speeds are very slow. Lots of lag between changing apps and the charge doesn’t hold as well as I had hoped. While the case helps prevent damage, we should have purchased a screen protector as well because there is nothing preventing damage/scratches to the screen.

My son simple enjoys his Amazon Fire. This Amazon Fire is great for kids.

Great product keeps the kids entertained while also learning

I have LOVED this, mostly for the books. It comes with Amazon Freetime which has TONS of free digital kids books. It’s gotten us they this ondemic so far since we can’t go to the library right now. My son soaks up books then wants new ones, and this has kept his appetite for new books satisfied. For that reason alone I would buy this 10 times over again. Parental controls on it are awesome too. Parents, just make sure you put stickers over the cameras just to be safe... The case/stand it comes with has also been perfect. Only problem we’ve had with it, is that when I do let him use the video function, videos don’t automatically move on to the next in a series when one is over. For older kids this would likely be fine, but mine is 2 (almost 3) and asks me to put a new video on as soon as one is over because it just stops.

Purchased as Christmas gifts for my granddaughters, ages 3 and 16 months. Got one for the 16 month old so she wouldn't always be fighting with her sister over just one. The 3 year old is used to using Google on a phone so there has been a learning curve to switch to Amazon but she definitely is enjoying the larger screen. Her mother loves all the parental controls, especially the timer for allowed screen time and age setting for YouTube videos. They travel a lot so these will get lots of use during car and plane trips. Mom also likes that she can download a movie to watch when Wifi isn't available.

I feel like a lot of the bad reviews are from people who do not know what they are doing, or don't fully understand how to use the tablet to its full potential. This tablet DOES allow you download any app that you would find on the play store! Because of the parental features you have to first download them on YOUR PARENT PROFILE FIRST!! I love that about this tablet. Also, I can block the camera AND web browser so my child can't access that either! I can put a pass code on pretty much everything like profiles, WiFi access, settings, etc. It's really easy to set up and it came almost fully charged so I had plenty of time download what I wanted for my daughter and set it all up before I had to put it on the charger... It does, however, take a bit long to complete charge to 100%, but no big deal. This is a great tablet so far and we are thoroughly enjoying it :)

Minor downside is the battery life Last about 4hrs or 6 at best. Also takes long to charge. Besides that the tablet is great for kids as my nephew uses it and the stand is helpful all the time. The games are very educational better for kids getting ready for pre k or understand the concept of problem solving.

Awesome tablet bought this for my three-year-old son for Christmas this past year he loves it uses it every day he has dropped it down cement stairs the rubber housing protector for it works amazing kind of laggy but it’s not an iPad the only downfall about it is that the parental controls are not the best my son maxes out the storage by downloading stuff all the time from the kids section and then I have to go in to delete it lol all in all it’s a good tablet very educational games come preloaded on it also Netflix Disney+ and Hulu come preloaded on the tablet there’s also a section that you can use it like a normal tablet for adults and download any app you want it is password protected to switch portals and also to get into the tablet if you’re buying this for a little one I would recommend it.

Perfect to entertain kids on the go or at home. I recommend this tablet to mothers who just need some me time or to get stuff done.

I bought this tablet after my five year old daughter cracked the screen on two different iPads that we let her use to watch YouTube kids videos. This is perfect and better than the iPads for young children, at a far lower price. It has a solid, protective case, and its easy to use. The only downside is that there is not yet a native YouTube kids app for the Fire OS and so I ended up having to install Google Play onto the tablet and use the Google Play Store to install the YouTube Kids app. Its a fairly straightforward process, Google it for instructions. I also found that limiting my daughter to Amazon Freetime was not ideal, since it does not allow for other apps that are not otherwise included including YouTube Kids, Facebook Kid's Messenger, Netflix and PBS Kids Videos. In summary, buy with confidence.

This was just perfect for our little one. It's very easy for him to choose his own cartoons to watch. I don't have to worry about what he's watching and the little stand in the back is awesome at keeping the tablet upright. Plus our little one has dropped and thrown this tablet to the ground and not a scratch on it. We love it!

Okay let's start with the good. The best thing about this tablet is the free year of Amazons kid focused profile called "amazon freetime". Freetime provides endless amounts of kid friendly content with full parental control of screen time. Second is Amazons warranty. If this thing breaks they will replace it no questions asked. Everything else is exactly what you would expect from a $99 tablet. Now the bad. The battery life and charging time is atrocious. Charge time is around 4 hours and lasts for 8 hours on standby and about 3 or 4 hours of heavy road trip usage. It runs slow which is to be expected from a bargain tablet but it hangs up constantly on a 500mbps wifi connection. All in all it's a decent tablet for what it is and my kid enjoys it so that’s all that matters to me.

This product is amazing I purchased this item for my grandson who’s 2 years old. The case protects the pad from being damaged and shattered. Definitely child proof. I recommend this product for purchase.
