Originally purchased it for my wife, she is an avid reader and loves it. I enjoy all the options you have,shopping,music,games,web etc. Could use some help with the camera and taking pictures. Love the large HD screen and color quality. Lots of apps ,plus loaded some of my own. Still learning all the features it offers.probably have to get another one for my wife....AWESOME

It isn't as powerful or as snappy as the Kindle Fire HDX but it really is great for reading comic books and magazines and thats what I bought it for.

This is my 3rd Kindle Fire, I also have the first generation and a 7” HD. The first thing that impresses is how thin and light this new model is, despite being the largest Fire to date. I love the more narrow, widescreen design of the screen, perfect for watching videos and reading books in portrait mode. Anyway, before I get carried away gushing, I’ll just list my pros and one or two cons, to make this easier to read and save time. PROS: Wide screen design is perfect for videos and allows more text on a page for books. The stereo speakers sound incredible, even better than the previous HDX model For comic book readers; comics purchased from Amazon now utilize the active panel reading mode from Comixology. I was wondering when Amazon was going to incorporate this feature for their comics, finally! Considerably faster response time across the board. Finally! We can add a micro SD card to expand storage capacity! Yay! The camera takes photos that are much better quality than previous Fire Love the new OS, It's cleaner without the old carousel taking up most of the screen with everything looked at. CONS: Would have preferred a rubberized back and case. The glossy finish is a fingerprint magnet also.

Last year my iPad got the wonderful blue screen of death that's well known with the original iPad Air, I really needed a tablet so I could see webpages easier then on my phone. I chose the kindle fire 10 inch for the screen size, the processor speed, and the fact I have Amazon Prine and buy all my movies on Amazon. While the fire isn't anything that will blow you away if you need to type up papers or play games it fit the bill perfectly for what I needed. The screen is crystal clear, watching movies on it is fantastic and I can easily read those web pages now while I spend far too much money shopping. If you're looking for something that has pretty decent processor speed for every day tasks or for movie watching this certainly fits the bill. If I need to update my resume or type up a paper then I have a desktop computer for that. Certainly worth the money I spent on it, it was going to cost at least $300 to fix my iPad, I spent half of that to have a brand new tablet that does everything I need it to.

Bought with travel in mind. Less expensive than a full featured tablet, light to carry and good for reading, internet, watching movies or gaming. Perfect for travel entertainment without spending a fortune. Many apps available. Can be sluggish at times when fully loaded. Need to use an SD card to alleviate the sluggishness. For the price it fulfills it's purpose well.

I have a 7" Fire and felt it was time to upgrade. Best Buy has a great deal on the 10" so I went for it. I really like how quick it is. The size is nice. It's light and works great for reading and playing games. The battery life does seem less than my 7" but not enough to make me not like it. I'm happy with my purchase.

I bought this as a gift for my wife for her birthday, and she absolutely loves it. Her laptop was starting to fall apart, but all she was using it for was mostly facebook, tumblr, email, and a few other miscellaneous things. Most of those things she could do from her phone, but the screen was small, and the internet was a little slow on that device, so this was a perfect happy medium for her. The display, despite being only 720p, is very nice looking. The interface is fairly easy to use, and the touchscreen is responsive. The only cons are that the camera quality isn't incredible, and some of the apps available are a bit limited since the OS is basically the amazon version of android.

This is my first amazon product. Only used/had Android products before. So, So far so good. The picture quality is excellent and easy to navigate around. It took sometime to figure out you can't customize your own screens like you can on Android products. That is the only downside I have found. Other than that this is a great tablet.

It's a bit heavy for just holding and reading, but with a surface to set it up on, it works well for streaming tv shows and movies and I really like the interactive capability you have with magazines. The colors are brilliant, the sound quality good. Battery life is a bit disappointing and it is disappointing that it doesn't have a 'paperwhite' feature for outdoor use.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it! She uses it for work and at home. The screen is crisp and clear, downloads and pages load quickly.

I had an older Kindle e-reader (with keyboard) which I loved. But the keys sometimes were sticky and the on/off switch was starting to fail, so it was time to upgrade. I hesitated to go to the tablet, as I liked the readability on my existing e-reader. But I was won over with the idea that the Fire would give me so many more capabilities, including apps and internet. My husband talked me into getting the 10 instead of the 8, and I am glad. It's not as compact, so if that is an issue, the 8 would be fine, I'm sure. However, the slightly larger size is worth the trade off of having more screen space. The resolution is wonderful. It was easy and mostly intuitive to learn to use, even though I was not previously a tablet user. The keyboard is large enough that it works well, although I still much prefer my laptop for any significant amount of typing. Overall, I am very satisfied with my Kindle Fire HD-10.

I have had the original kindle since it came out and have never had issues, so I decided to go larger. Looked into iPad and other similar items but kept going back to Kindle! Bought it and I'm in love with it. So simple and easy to use. Great for reading and games!

Bought for my 13 year old who had the original 7" Kindle Fire and then got the Kindle Fire HD. They both stopped charging, but hopefully this one will last longer than about a year. Daughter loves the large 10" screen and uses it all the time for play and school.

I upgraded from my original Kindle, and I must say it was very much worth it. It's great product. Very Large. It's not a replacement for an iPad or another android tablet, but it works very well as a reader, with added functions. I really enjoy it.

The 10" screen is so clear and easy to manipulate especially for persons with disabilities

I bought this for my daughter to do homework on and to access her favorite kids programming. Couldn't be happier. It is very fast with the quad core and very easy for her to navigate

his tablet is really nice looking and feeling. It has a premium look and feel too it compared to the older generations. It has a large screen and ultra slim frame. The only problem I had was a bad speaker on the 1st one, then scratches on back of new tablet straight out of the box, and now on my 3rd and hoping its the charm. So far so good. Interface looks good compared to previous gens, looks more like other android devices. One other fault, when the tablet's data space is full, it will block access to wifi/internet. Pain in rear.

Beautiful picture. Easy to use. Rugged enough for my child who is hard on things. Video clear and crisp. Apps easy to load, easy to play. Programs like Netflix and Hulu load up and work like a charm. Love it. Best Christmas purchase.

Got this an upgrade for my mother who originally had the first kindle fire and she loves the huge improvements on the speed and the clarity of the screen and is able to use it for more daily entertainment.

The screen on the 10.5 is perfect! I love the update kindle software, because it's so user friendly... Even my adverse to technology mother can easily navigate it! In fact, she went and bought one!
