About the size of a skinny paperback and about as heavy as a thick paperback, this is a good reader and has decent movie playback. It runs Amazon Android which has some proprietary functions but nowhere near as bad as Apple devices. Processing is quick so programs run fast and smooth. I got it for my wife. She loves it. She wishes there were a way to increase the font size when running on the elliptical but said it was fine when reading on the treadmill. A lot of books to load in the first month of the free trial of Amazon Prime as well as Amazon instant movies with the purchase of the device. A nice incentive to buy it whenever you can buy it on sale. I got a great deal from Best Buy when they were giving $50 for any trade-in.

easy to use, takes good pictures, when watching netflix it looks so clear ! Although I wish it had better volume control.

It was quick to setup and use out of the box. Was able to download books previously purchased very quickly. The interface and screen are very clear and easy to use

Bought this as a present for my 12 year old son. He loves it. He has it in his hands constantly. Loves the camera and all the aps he can download. Loves that he can read at night. Great buy.

I bought this as a gift for my son's 22nd birth-anniversary. He loves the size and that it takes pics and video.

This was my son's favorite gift on Christmas Day! He uses it daily for either games or reading. it is sturdy, fast and lightweight. Definitely worth the price.

My boys 5 & 7 love their tablets. They are the perfect size for them. I only wish they had more memory or that I can put in an sd card..

And I do like it. But I have a library in excess of 22,000 books. If you have a library over 2000 books, I do not recommend that you let your Kindle connect to Amazon to download directly. Download your library to your computer and then side load up to 2000 books. Otherwise it will freeze. Trust me. Beyond that, this is a great unit. Nowhere near the battery life, even in standby mode as my old Kindle keyboard. I have to plug it in, at a minimum, every other day. The colors are vibrant. Game play is beautiful. It isn't so heavy that you need a stand for it if you are an avid book reader. An added plus is that it fits into even my smallest pocketbook.

Bought this item for the first time and I am very happy with the outcome so far haven't had any problems so far. Very user friendly and the size is perfect.

I think this is a great little tablet... Very easy to use. Parental control settings. VERY DURABLE.

I bought this kindle to use for school. I went with the 6 because it is small enough to fit in my scrub pocket. I have downloaded all of my text books on here. I like the calendar I am able to put in events and assignments to help keep me on schedule. I don't like the advertisements that are used for the screen saver. It took me a couple weeks to get the hang of using the kindle but once I did I loved it.

Easy to set up, able to watch Netflix, download books and is fast going from one page to the next

This fit the bill for a tablet for my 8 year old. It's was inexpensive enough that I won't have to worry about her. Amazon has decent enough parental controls as well.

This tablet serves my needs....used on vacation to read etc. and to show pictures of our trip on our return. Very light and easy to use.

We bought this for my 89 year old mother-in-law. Although she is not tech savvy, she can buy and download books. She loves it! She also plays a few games on it. We will now work on getting her to use it for email. This has been well worth the investment.

I loved my first kindle. It was great but as soon as I saw this kindle 6 I just wanted it cause it is a little smaller to fit in my bag. I find it is just as great as my first but with lots of improvements. I definitely recommend it to anyone who reads.

Bought the Kindle Fire for my aging dad who needed something that was simple enough to use & interesting enough to keep him busy. This does both. He now has books, his favorite magazines & some games. As he gets better with it we will begin to add movies.
