Not thrilled that there is advertising everytime you use the screen and enabling voice to text narrator was a nightmare to turn off while in FreeTime. Crisp picture and decent sound thus far.

Great for my niece who is nine!

We like them quite a bit for some of the newer features they have the old ones didn't, such as parental features like kindle time, password protection so your kids can't use your kindle without your permission etc. The only thing I have noticed is that the battery drains super fast on it. So far I have mainly used it for listening to music and I usually put the kindle into sleep mode so the backlight isn't on draining it faster, but even so sometimes it feels like it lasts for around 6 hours before I have to charge it again. But other than that we love it!
