It was easy to use right off the bat. I had no problem learning how to navigate through the screens. The only issues I have had is sometimes the screen doesn't respond to touch and the app store lacks quality apps.

Good size and easy to hold since it is so light. Love the fact that prime members can download movies, perfect for those trips out of town.

My son says this kindle picture is better, speed and the ease is better than his previous kindles, he recommends that I replace my old one soon with a new one

We bought this for my dad for Christmas because his old tablet died. He likes the bigger screen, and Kindle is the easiest way to go for an ereader

I am very happy with the Amazon fire hd8. I bought it mainly because I like to read/listen to books. This little tablet can fit right in my purse. The graphics are good. you can book mark your searches, check your history. I find that I can do everything with this table that I usually do on my lap top. Depending what you want to use it for. Definitely a good tablet for the price and compact enough to take where ever you go.

This is the perfect size screen for watching shows or movies as well reading books or magazines. I love the picture quality and great sound!

When Amazon was unable to fulfil my order placed in late September for a new 8" Fire tablet before the end of October, long after my immediately need for it had passed, I tried Best Buy and received one of the tablets within 5 days. My first tablet was a 10" but I wanted a smaller one for travel - the 8" Fire tablet couldn't be better for my needs. Also the new Fire cases come with an "instant on" feature so there's no waiting for "warm up" if you're in that much of a hurry.

This is my first tablet and the Kindle has been a great experience. It's easy to maneuver through the various options. The video display is bright and clear, the book reading easy to use, videos in Amazon Prime easy to access and view. Recharging the batter is easy. I'm not sure about the camera, tho, since some of the photos indoors are rather dark - not as bright or clear as I had expected. It could be user error, tho. So far, after 2 months, I love the Kindle Fire 8.

I bought the fireHD 8 for my friend. She carries it in her purse everywhere. It's light weight pleases her and it is easy to use.

We have had Kindle Fires for years. The HD8 is a totally new experience. The device is faster, brighter, and more user friendly than our earlier models. It exceeded our expectations. The staff member who handled our purchase kew the device and walked through the new features. The whole process was as much a pleasure as the new Kindle itself.

Im pretty pleased with this tablet. I am a college student and bought it solely for etextbooks and it delivers on that front. The constant ads on the lock screen get a bit annoying but I guess thats why they can keep the cost on the tablet down. As long as you arent looking to use a tablet for everything in your life, especially work, this one will do just fine.

We got this before going on a long plane ride. The ability to download and play movies or shows offline made the plane rides so much better. The screen is crisp and clear while the battery holds up extremely well.

I thought this tablet would be ordinary just like others on the market. Boy was I wrong. Fantastic screen resolution, ridiculously easy to navigate, outshines what I was using my older Kindle for. Don't know what I would do without it now.

It has great sound and picture for a tablet of this size and price.
