Bought this for my granddaughter who is in pre-k this year for the extra fun apps she can use to practice her skills. Her parents also got some of her favorite movies for her to watch.

The Amazon Fire Kid's Edition was purchased for my 2 grandchildren for Christmas. They both are enjoying this Tablet as an educational tool, and one for enjoyment of game options also.

Easily set basics up for grandchildren off mother's Amazon account. Not all that different than Ipad. Very nice product, good value.

my only complaint he buttons are not visible all.the time for going back or hitting the home. This make is difficult fir the child

I had the regular kindle fire and it was easier for a kid to use. This one will go to the lock screen randomly and you have to put in your PIN, then get into the Kid's free time application, then into your kids profile before they can use it. Very frustrating to a little kid. I never had this issue with the regular kindle fire. Other than that, I would say it's ok. It is lighter, and seems to have more storage.

I love the case that came with the Kindle Fire Children. It is well worth the money. And with Geek Squad for back up, It is great

I purchased the Fire Tablets Kids Edition for my grandchildren for Christmas. From the look on their faces, they love, love, love their tablets.I purchased 2 in blue and 2 in pink.

i bought one for my granddaughter and my other 2 grand children that are at my house often just love it so i had to go buy 2 more

First its good for kids based off the bumpers. However that's where the rest falls short. The kids mode still is terrible since in kids mode, the swipe down from the top still works and the kids do that on occasion and shut off wifi. The buttons can still be accessed easily but kids like to put their fingers in there and end up making it loud and quiet or lock the screen. All of which makes this tablet a full time pain. It also has a problem with storage. Yeah you can add an SD card and out the apps on there but when you try to use the app it loads to the main storage and your once again dealing with space. (If they implemented androids marshmallow update this could be fixed) all in all it works but I'd expect more from the company that made it easy for kids to use but forgot a few details that could have been worth the effort of testing with real life situations. Oh and like all other OEMs issue, updating firmware!

my daughter wanted a tablet for Christmas. I wanted to get something that was a better quality and could handle wear and tear. so far everything is great. my 7 year old loves it.

We haven't played with it much yet but the cover on it makes it feel so durable.. Can't wait to dig in and see what it can do.

I bought these tablets as gifts for my niece and nephew and after seeing the quality in these I am very impressed. The screen resolution is amazing and the case is very padded.

The screen is a perfect viewing size and easy to use.

My son lives it so many options and I love that it is memory card capable. Extremely durable he has dropped it at least 25 times including directly on the screen on pavement.

I bought these for my kids to use the kindle free time app. However instead they are able to easily get in and out of the app, and it doesn't keep them locked in like my HDX does. When they are out of time, they just exit the app and do stuff outside of it instead.

I think it will help learn a 4 year how to read books and how to use other skills!

I got this because I wanted a tablet to help keep my two year old grandchild occupied when we all went out to eat. I also wanted a tablet that I could use myself. I had a Kindle Paperwhite but wanted to try the Fire. This is the regular Kindle Fire model with a special, for kids case and package. She loves it. Nice variety of kid appropriate apps. She has her own profile, distinct from my own. Comes with a one year subscription to Amazon's children's programming. Now about that case. It's bulky but made to help little hands (and big ones) keep a good grip on the Fire. Two days ago, little darling got frustrated with it and threw it face down....on a tile floor....HARD! I picked it up and not a crack and it worked fine. Had it been damaged, no problem. Amazon provides a two year, no questions asked, warranty! It didn't get 5 stars because in spite of having an Android OS, you can't get apps from Play Store. You have to get them from Amazon App store and they don't have as many apps. For example, Hangouts, a Google app that is preinstalled on most Android devices is not available.

Nice tablet for kids and really easy to use the case is one of the kind very protected

It great for kids just a few downer point. First you got to buy sdmini because 8 gig not much when adding apps. It don't like sending app to card watch it because it gets to full it will not work. Kid screen hard to get in and out of for kids. But overall great for price. I'm just an apple person. Night and day difference
