I didn't want to add another piece of equipment to the pile but needed something to stream content to my non-WiFi TV. Fire TV stick was very easy to install, automatic prompts led me through the set up process. Now enjoying my Amazon Prime video feature even more, and have access to all the other major streaming services, too.

I already have a Samsung smart TV with the Smarthub, but it is from 2011 so it cannot be updated to the new hub format, and I miss out on the newer interface as well as certain apps. I wanted to get something that would allow me to have access to different apps and a more updated interface without spending a small fortune on a new TV or whatever. My TV is great, large with bezel screen, so I did not want to replace it. It also didn't seem worth it to get an updated Blu ray player while mine still functioned perfectly and a new one would be $80+ for the functionality I was looking for. So I decide on the Fire Stick and I am happy with my purchase. It is incredibly easy to use and allowed me to download the apps I wanted, as well as utilize services I already subscribed to (Netflix, Hulu, etc). My only complaint is that sometimes the Fire Stick will pause and act like it's buffering but only loads to 25% so I have to restart it but that is an easy fix.

I found the Amazon fire stick specifically after getting frustrated with price increases from the cable company. I was now being charged over $20 a month for HBO from bright house… As it turns out, "HBO NOW" as a standalone feature is under $15 a month. Although I have a new or Samsung television, it did not have the option to install the app for HBO NOW. Upon further research, I found that the Amazon fire stick does allow you to access any of those apps. Luckily, I was able to purchase this on sale when Best Buy was offering a "Amazon "sale, so for just under $25 I am able to download and watch not just HBO but many of my favorite cable channels without having to subscribe to additional cable services from bright house. This is well worth the investment, as you can also move the fire stick between devices and still access your same channels… I haven't traveled yet to my family in Colorado, but I will bring the fire stick with me there just in case.

Stick works great and is easy to use even for children. Plug in and after set-up it's like any other apps. Many movies and games and things to search and use but most of all its small and mobile.

For the price this is a great product. There is a ton of content available and it's easy to use - and comes with a remote! Also have AppleTV and ChromeCast. I would rate this in the middle of the two.

I was planning to get a Roku 3 but changed my mind when checked the price of this Amazon device. It is pretty fast and delivers more features than the Roku platform. Very nice and easy to use!

The Amazon Fire TV stick works great in any room in the house. It is easy to set up and easy to find/select programs. It is also very portable. I highly recommend this to any Amazon Prime members.

When I first heard about the Amazon Fire Stick, I was a little bit "iffy" about whether or not I should buy it. I imagined it was like a RedBox right in your home, where we still had to pay for each movie we watched. My husband decided to buy one & I'm so glad he did. Not only are some movies free to watch, but we can also watch tv, listen to music, and do a bunch of other stuff I have yet to discover. For almost $40, you can't go wrong with the Fore Stick.

This item is the absolute best! I have no complaints. It is very user friendly and since I have a prime account, I've been able to access free movies and music. I'm very happy with my purchase

It is with ready with loaded the most popular apps and easy to customized with other streaming apps like Kodi. It has the features to transfer video streaming from mobile/desktop devices, comes with a remote control and can also be easily configured with a personal tv remote.

Very easy to set up. I purchased to use with steaming a Plex Media Server from a separate network from where the Fire TV Stick would be installed. Be warned, it costs $5 to activate the Plex app even though it's free to download. Streaming seems to work just ok. Quality isn't HD and there are a couple 10-15 second pauses during a 2 hour movie to buffer but this is more due to the network speed than the stick. Using the bundled remote control doesn't provide the immediate feedback on screen as you'd expect as there's a 1-2 second delay between commands, even just navigating standard menus. Overall, I'd recommend this if you could get it on a sale but not at full $40. The only other device I've used for similar streaming between the same network locations is an Xbox One which doesn't have the same buffering or video quality issues as the Fire TV Stick. That said, the processing power of the two are also no where near equal.

The fire stick is pretty simple to set up and use. It does take a little bit to figure out how to use the remote for it. But it's small, can be moved from tv to tv so u don't really need to have one for each room unless u plan to use them in different rooms at same time

Let me start off by saying I own a Roku 3 and LOVE it. The big reason I bought the Amazon stick was a needed another stream stick for my game room TV and the fire stick allowed me to load Kodi (XBMC) which you cannot do with Roku. Overall I actually prefer Roku as the user interface is simpler and user friendly. Linking Plex on Roku is also free and on Amazon there is a small charge. Being able to add Kodi was huge though... I would say if you don't know what Plex or XBMC are and both Roku and Amazon fire stick are the same price go with Roku for ease of use. If you are looking for other ways to enhance your online streaming enjoyment the Fire Stick is a great choice

I have a "dumb" tv. It was on the cusp of smart technology but was born just south of standard built in Wi-Fi. I was looking for a way to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime to said tv but was having a hard time finding a device that suported AP. The Fire Stick solved all my problems. It works and works well. I have not had any problems with connectivity like some have had. It streams well and had never lost the Wi-Fi signal as some have claimed. Its size is a plus as well. I took it on vacation and was able to stream movies to the hotel tv with ease. The one star reduction was only for the UI. I would like to see the home menu less "clunky" and a sleep option added in. When you are through watching it you just leave it on and that's it. It eventually shuts off but it's still kind of weird to just leave it running. Also, I wish they would of included a usb power cord instead of a traditional one. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

Really enjoying this product. It was between the amazon fire stick or Apple TV and this was more affordable and it works great. Looking to purchase another one for the other TVs in the house.

I really enjoy this product. It was easy to setup and my family has been enjoying hours of watching movies and tv shows. The remote is very nice and easy to use. I would recommend this product.

I wasn't much in need for the Fire TV Stick when I purchased it however I wanted to try it out and see what it was all about. When I say I wasn't in need, I already have a computer that I hook up to my TV to watch whatever I want online through hulu, Netflix websites etc. However once I got the Fire TV Stick life was much easier!! No more turning on my wifi on my computer, opening the webpage, hooking up the hdmi cable and so on and so on. All I had to do now was push a button and voila! I had everything at one button's reach, and not only do I have the control but if I was being extra lazy I could do it all from my phone as well through the app. $40 well spent!

I got this on sale and gotta say worth every dollar I paid for it. Easy to hook up, great wifi connection, does 95% what the big brother does at a fraction of the price. Best part about it is the bonus remote, very handy compared to other streaming sticks with no remote.

Found this at Best Buy with a lower price than amazon. From the second I plugged it into my TV I knew I had made a great decision. I have a Sony Bravia that is not a smart tv or should I say wasn't a smart tv. Now with the help of the Fire TV Stick my tv had access to all the apps. My only wish is that the android companion app could control the device all by itself instead of having to use your phone and the remote. Other than that, you won't be disappointed.

We bought this to replace our Roku and are pleased with our decision. We have had no reloads like we did with the Roku and have not had to reset it. The programs load very fast. Small and compact and can transport it when traveling. Remote is small and easy to use.
