However it could potentially get grimey if you take it with you everywhere as the outer layer of the cover is fabric and not easily cleanable like a hard case would be.

It doesn't fit and apparently is only appropriate for Kindles 2022 or older (but probably not all older ones because Kindle is out to make as much money as possible). By December 2024, BestBuy apparently did not have a cover to fit the new Kindle that they are selling - which is really strange. Beware of this!

Didn't provide store credit or anything. Handed it back to me, I proceeded to throw it in the nearest TRASH. An employee probably picked it up out the TRASH and kept it, or either resold it himself.

We are sorry you did not have success with this case and had a negative experience at Best Buy. As noted in the product description, this case does not fit the Kindle Paperwhite. This case fits the smaller version, 2024 and 2022 Releases only. This does NOT fit the Kindle Colorsoft, either.

The Amazon Kindle case is designed to perfectly fit your new Kindle (Fits 2024 and 2022 Releases only). This does NOT fit the Kindle Paperwhite or Kindle Colorsoft.
