Not too bright. And very comfortable to hold. A little sluggish at times. But you barely notice it.

Got the Colorsoft version for my wife. She loves it and I’m kinda jealous! Having color is nice for those books that have maps or other images that reference various things. Great battery life in the same small factor as the paper soft.

This was an upgrade to the Kindle Paper white tablet that I had for a while. Anyway, I ordered it, got it in the mail, and set it up. Next thing I know I am reading a Snoopy comic on it in full color and seeing everything on the screen as if I am looking at an inkjet print out. And I love that I can use it for that. I have even downloaded the Libby app and have started checking out digital books from the library to read on it which show up on it till the loan expires. My niece liked how the screen looked too. She flipped through the pages of the book I had on there just to see how clear the images were on it. So, I would recommend that anyone looking to read comics or to view a document with highlights consider this.

Has a great battery life and plenty of storage. I am an avid reader and this makes reading books so much easier as a mom of two active boys.

This item is great. Very light weight, easy to use, good battery, and an excellent product.

Does its job. I like the size, ease of access. A little slow but truly I don’t need split second processing for a tablet that’s primarily for reading. Perfect for the casual reader.

I got this as an upgrade from my Kindle Basic and I have been reading almost every single day. You can change the lighting and the tone of the screen to make it look more like a physical book. I have read novels of course and comics on it. The comics are not quite as bright as they would be on a tablet but there is also no glare in the sunlight so I consider that a plus. It would probably look really good with children's picture books I'd imagine. Overall, this has been a nice addition to my cozy reading corner and my morning bus commute.

I wasnt sure how I would feel about it, but after holding it and using it...I love it. Lightweight, color screen, and amazing battery life. Get you a case that helps you hold it and you can't beat it.

I love it! The picture makes it seem like the reader is large, but it can fit into a medium bag. The battery is long lasting, I can highlight, and there's a dictionary built in. A great purchase!

I Battery life is strong. Colors makes reading comics much more enjoyable.

My wife said she wantd a kndle....so I purchased this one because I wanted 2 give her something a little extra when she reads. She LOVES IT! Nothing feels better then getting a gift that u can watch someone use/enjoy.

Great option for readers. Something that bothers me is the speed of interface. It could have bit a bit faster. Otherwise great device for readers

I didn't realize how much I would love this, but I do. The screen is so much easier on my eyes than trying to use the Kindle app on my phone. I also like there there is color on the pages and that you can highlight with different colors.

Given as a birthday gift, the addition of color is cool, however, the experience of color is limited to lock screen and book covers. I would still likely pick the kindle a level down from this 9/10 times, if you have the extra money to spend, it’s a good choice.

Glad that I made this purchase. Reading on the kindle versus on my iPad has been really good for my eyes.

Loving it, batter does alot faster than the paperwhite through. But still lasted me about 2 weeks with reading every day during work off and on and also when I get home
