The new case works fine but I ended up with the wrong Kindle and case to start but finally had a good working Kindle and case. Jerry

Expensive Kindle case but...

But because they slightly change the size from year to year, forced to toss the old, perfectly good case and buy a new overpriced one. A real rip-off
