Honestly the only thing "kids" about this is the case. Interface is standard kindle UI. Honestly she loved the case since she's a beach nut lol. Great product!

My only problem, there are ads. And Amazon wants to charge to remove them. You are better off paying more for an ad free kindle and letting your kid read on that.
