I've had the Amazon Fire HD 7 2014 model and got the magnetic case for it. Loved it! Now with the Fire HD 8, I knew I wanted only this case. The best part about it is the magnetic attachment. When reading and holding the Fire in my hand, I don't have to worry about the cover moving and opening. It's sleek and very well built.

I have purchased other aftermarket cases for my prior Kindle Fire's but this OEM one is far superior to the others. This one fits like a glove, has perfect cut outs for port and camera access, is magnetic and is very protective. I love how light it is and that it is still giving me great protection if I drop my Kindle (which I am known to do). It's a little pricy but worth the extra money. I will always buy the original cases now.

This case is great, it's nice and solid! It has a good tight grip on the tablet, and keeps it well protected. It's also slim, so it doesn't take up a lot of room when you travel. It's also nice to be able to prop it so you can stream something without having to hold it.

Took a minute to figure how to use it as a stand, but I like that you have a vertical & horizontal option. Unfolds open similar to a paperback book and the quality materials seem to take cosmetic care of my kindle without adding much bulk or weight to the device.

does the job to protect the screen. doesn't feel cheap

The magnetic close feature is great. Automatically comes on when you open the case and turns off when you close the case. Allows access to all features and buttons. Backside of case folds to allow tablet to be propped up horizontally or vertically.

High quality case, fits the tablet perfectly. Acts as a stand and also puts the tablet to sleep when you close the cover.

The case is nice. It seems durable. Fits good. Keeps the screen protective. Got for a gift on thanksgiving. Great sale.

Wife was given a gift (Fire tablet) for Xmas by children. Suddenly invited to Hawaii by adult son going for work. Too much sand on beaches to go with no cover, so Best Buy Associate helped us find a smart and lightweight cover, and it got her through the trip with no scrapes or dents to the tablet. Now, with protection, I'm sure my wife will take it on all trips and keep reading electronic books. Good product and not high cost.

Easy to install. Fits new Fire like a glove and does not add excess bulk. Nice case.

Case fits well (including a port for the camera) and turns the Fire on and off when opened or closed. A little pricey but it seems to be good quality. The new design works ok as a stand, but not. as well the older origami-style case. If you use it as a stand just make sure you open the case and let the magnet at the top snap to hold the back firmly in place before folding it

The case is like a protective cover and it is magnetic so it opens and closes very easily and quickly. Frankly I wouldn't be without it.!

This is a simple good case. The tablet is completely protected by the case and cover. Its slim and light weight, which is a plus for me. The only con for me would be that i feel if the tablet happened to fall the hard plastic may not be as protective as a rubber or softer plastic cover.

Great buy for my wife's fire hd8. The ability to prop tablet up vertically or horizontally is great. The screen cover flap is magnetic so it stays closed solidly when not in use. It has the ability to auto wake your tablet when opened as well as auto sleep when flap is closed. Unfortunately this does not work for the hd8 5th gen or earlier which my wife has so I cannot comment on how well it work but a nice addition.

I gave the Fire HD 8 as a gift, and I wanted to avoid any complications down the road (warranty issues, fit, etc.). The Case fits correctly, protects well, and looks good.The price is a bit high in my opinion, but that is more on Amazon than Best Buy. Overall, it is solid.

I bought this case for my son's Fire HD8, and he loves it. It is much sturdier than it looks, and it has saved his Fire from a couple of accidents. I like the way it easily flips to cover the screen to protect from scratches. It was well worth what I paid for it!
