You put the item at the outlet and you get the alexa notification about a new blanlabla. Easy to setting up. I used with my Xmas tree like a clock, to turn it on and turn it off automatically. Works great!

So through Alexa, I can turn it off, but if I want to turn it on the plug will turn on, but the fan will not. I have to use the remote to do that. Not really what I expected.

Posted .Hello VahanA! I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the Amazon Smart Plug. If the Dyson Fan does not have a switch to keep it on, and uses digital power, there isn't a smart plug that will turn it back on unfortunately. I hope you have a great day!
