My son built a gaming machine using this processor. It is a very fast CPU that handles the most demanding gaming solutions

This processor is a great choice of you want something very fast, versatile, and a lot of bang for the buck. I moved up from a Phenom II 1090T to this and definitely noticed a speed increase. Load and boot times are next to non existance. I'm temporarily using the stock cooler, which is actually decent, and my temps never get above in the 50's celcius. mine is over clocked to 4.5ghz. I'm sure a top of the line Intel would beat it, but the cost would be a lot more and I don't think it's worth it. If you need a good socket AM3+ CPU, go with this, you won't be sorry!

Gets hot quick. I do not recommend stock or cheap heat sync with this cpu. other than that it works very well. Super fast. Best bang for the buck

I upgraded from an AMD FX Quad Core to this and i love it. I produce music and the vst's i was using such as Serum was maxing out my old CPU. With the 8 core it barely reaches 25% load and that's with a high load on my DAW with several instances of Serum, Nexus, and Massive running simultaneously. You can make all the dirty marshmello chainsmokers riddim remixes you want and this CPU will handle it like how Kim handled Ray J. The only downside is the fan is LOUD. The stock fan is small and sounds like a little electric motor so i recommend investing in a Cooler Master fan or something similar. You'll get better cooling anyways and you wont even hear it. It's not that much either so it's totally worth it. Other than that works great fam *100 emoji*.

Pros: Coming from my old Hp laptop, this thing is a rocket, blazing speeds with 8 cores <3. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into high end gaming on a budget. Cons: None so far, but only time will tell......... Duhn dun dun!!!!!!!!!

Super fast octacore processor at a fraction of the cost as Intel. Very easy to install.

Upgraded from a dual core CPU to this and love how far this is, I primarily user out for gaming.

Ok so you could do better with an i7 but this processor will compete with high end i5s and it's way cheaper. Trust me, there are a lot of people with the top end of graphics and computing power that use this.

This is a really good processor for the money. Amd is really good about that. However make sure you got a compatible motherboard b4 you buy this processor. Also make sure you are running the latest drivers to get the most out of it. As far as heat goes it does get a bit hot, but it still works with the stock cooler.

Upgraded from AMD 4130 FX. Speed increase was noticeably 2x faster. Used existing Cooler Master 212 cpu fan. Temperatures never exceed 40c at 100% 4ghz. Overclocking is very easy. Perfect for games and photo/video editing.

This works well. I am using it on a home-built computer that is primarily used for graphics intensive (CAD) work. I will be honest that, in hindsight, I might have liked to have gone with a faster processor, but this one is still faster than any of my other systems and I am happy with it. Good value for the money (especially if you price match).

Yes, I bought this even-though it is 3-4year tech. Thank goodness Best Buy's price match policy works with some online prices! I had an unused AM3+ motherboard laying around and one of Best Buy's major competitors had a great sale price, so i jumped on this and I am very pleased.

I have setup a pc for a friend with this cpu and he never had an issue with it, and it actually irked better than he had hoped. So this is the second computer I've put one in and it works flawlessly.

This processor was the best for bang for the buck I could find for my chipset, works really well. Does have some issues with getting hot but an open case and a fan fixes that issue no problem

It has worked wonderful for me for a while but sadly now its aging, at the time it was fantastic though!

Easy to overclock with the right MB, Asus or MSI or any other that gives you access to Voltages, Wattage, clock speed etc. I was able to OC this chip to 4.6 GHZ and stable with P95. Have a good cooler, (Corsair H110GT for example) and remember, every CPU is different and can take plus or minus the multiplier.

If you want an affordable alternative to the I5 processor, this is a good choice!

Great processor for the money. I have them on all 3 of my desktop for gaming
