I really think that getting this APU is a wise purchase for my needs. It's suppose to be for a low key gamer, but I don't play games. However, for the type of work I'll be doing serves just right and the whole system with all components cost me a little over $500. I got the type of memory, storage, computer case, mobo that has great reputation for less than it would have cost to buy it prebuilt, but still not get what I wanted to have in a system. So I got what I better components than a prebuilt and it cost me less than prebuilts are sold for.

I wanted a faster processor than my 3200G, but 3400G has been sold out for a long time. Discovered Bestbuy had stock in mid May, ordered immediately. Took forever to arrive, when expected store deliver said Saturday. Since we are in the middle of a Pandemic I expected a delay, and that is what happened. I am pleased with the jump in performance, and will wait for the next desktop release - several months after the Ryzen 7 4700G release update my Linux system. 550 or 470 motherboard will wait for the reviews to appear before making a decision.

Processor works great out of the box, runs cool and quit. Perfect for a sff build.

Great little processor! Got one while it was in stock and put it in a super mini ITX case cooled by a Noctua NH-L9a-AM4. Mounted it on the back of a tv in the garage for whenever I’m doing woodworking stuff and need a tutorial or wanna take a break or check on other stuff like renders over the network rather than having to rely on my phone.

Supper fast with integrated graphics processor makes it an economical choice because you don't have to purchase a separate graphics card.

Price to performance king! I got this CPU for a living room PC. It handles streaming video in 4k and even handles light gaming. I was prepared to be disappointed, but with the shortages lately, it is all I could find and gave it a try. I'm very happy with it.

Its good for the price but it seems to choke my gpu. Go with the 3600 if you can

Bought for my new motherboard Asus Tuf x570 Plus. It was very easy to install. I used the heat sink that comes with it and I have had no overheating issues, however, I did not overclock the cpu. My computer is running snappy with no problems.

Upgrading from an FX-8350, a noticeable drastic performance uptick. Running two server applications and only about 18% of resources used, compared to 60-755 previously. Easy install on new MSI mb.

It works just fine. With a mvne ssd it starts windows 10 within 3 seconds of the motherboard posting. Haven't tried gaming at all, but it is very quiet and low energy usage.

Bought it for a friend's parents HTPC in a Inwin Chopin. Has a decent integrated GPU for light gaming, and will be perfect for 2160@60fps media viewing

Great filler if you need integrated graphics for a tiny build or want to build a Ryzen build but can't find a GPU right now. Would suggest swapping for a dedicated CPU if you game seriously.

great CPU for a mid-tier general-purpose computer. Just don't forget that the integrated GPU will use about 2 Gigabytes of your RAM when you are picking out how much you will need.
