Where Do I start, 6 Cores with hyperthreading and support for ECC ram, this CPU is one of the reasons that intel has become obsolete! too long have we dealt with intel's 4 core BS! now We can get hexacore that I dare say can even compete with intel's Xeon processors for a fraction of the cost. Screw you intel. This is one of the best cpu int the market, I dare you to find a better price to performance ratio! BTW this is my second build using this cpu, I am using it in an Asrock Rack X470D4U with ECC Memory, Rock Solid.

The performance of an 8700k at half the price? And with better optimization for workflows and higher single core clocks??? For 200$ it doesn't get any better. The AM4 platform is even supported till 2021 so you can upgrade down the road. Driver's for older x370 or b450 motherboards are still a bit finicky so you may have to do some work to overclock and get your ram speeds up to what you want but it's worth it.

The Ryzen 5 3600 is an awesome performing CPU. Outperforms my Ryzen 7 1700 and Ryzen 7 2700X systems in Monero mining applications. The Ryzen 5 3600 mines consistently around 6,300 H/sec while the Ryzen 7- 1st and 2nd gen processors only turn out 4,200-5,200 H/s respectively. Works on B350 boards with the latest BIOS updates and performs about 1,800 H/s less than the Ryzen 7 3700X. With a price range of under $200 the Ryzen 5 3600 is the way to go if you want the best performance per dollar spent.

For $200, you're getting basically the same performance as an Intel Core i7-8700 or 8700k. There's practically no overclocking headroom on the new Ryzen chips but the fact that this performance is coming in at just $200 is a deal that even a used 8700k at $250 can't beat. Just make sure your motherboard has a BIOS that supports the new 3000 series Ryzen CPU's and you're good to go! Also, don't forget to enable Precision Boost Overdrive as it allows the CPU to overclock itself to its absolute limit.

What’s to say about this cpu that hasn’t been said already? The king of bang for the buck gaming cpus. Can’t fault it at all for my needs. Great speeds, power, and tuneable with their software for peak performance. Hard to beat for the money! Look it up and see if it’s the right cpu for your build. People always overkill and never see the money they spend, this is Goldilocks, just right,

I upgraded from an FX-8150 water cooler black edition, it got so loud I would have to crank up the volume on my headphones to hear anything. This processor runs everything at 13% load, peak was 22% so far, and quiet. Temperatures around 56C or 126F with stock cooler that comes with it. I bought the cheap DDR4 memory on sale at Bestbuy and set it to 3000 without any issues using the ASUS B450-F strix board. Windows 10 OEM version on my harddrive caused me some difficulty so I'll likely go out and purchase a fresh Windows 10 copy soon. I did have to flash the motherboard after everything was connected with a USB, but it was the easiest part.

I got this for a Msi b550 series board but after a bios update it worked in my Msi b450 just fine saving me some work transferring hardware. I never used the included cooling solution as I already had a wraith prism and I wanted to use conductanat liquid metal and you cant use that on a aluminum heat sink. After the proper application of the liquid metal thermal compound I was suprised to see the temperatures as high as they were especially comming from a 2700x which never got over 65c anyway after some research apparently the chip is so small there is trouble transferring the heat internally to the ihs. It runs about 70c at 4100mh 100% on all cores cpu mining monero at 7294 H/s with 6 cors it beats my 2700x that has 8! Likely a power savings as well. I'm happy with the peformance. Only thing is I may need to transfer hardware anyway because the b550 board doesn't have support for the 2700x it does function however it is limited aka it won't mine. I'm happy with best buy having the 3600 for sale and the home delivery was great considering the ccp virous issues we have nowdays. Thanks Best Buy

I had upgraded my PC once from and AM3+ platform to the new AM4 in 2019. Originally had the Ryzen 3 3200g in the first upgrade and I kept it until the next year. Fast-forward to now and I bought this CPU because I was getting bottlenecked in my performance, and boy did this upgrade smooth everything out. If you're trying to find a good price to performance CPU and don't plan on upgrading this is perfect for you.

Worked perfectly out of the box. Perfect for my budget PC i was building! Overclocking is simple, just use Ryzen Master software, auto overclock, and you are golden. However, when you overclock, you should probably consider buying an AIO or air cooler, as temps with the stock fan get up into the 70s under high loads. Price to performance, this processor is amazing. I highly recommend it.

I had a 6600k desperately overclocked to 4.2GHz to try to keep up with my 1080ti. After trying my best to give Intel a fair shake, I just had to accept that my only reasonably upgrade path with them was to buy a 7600k or 7700k, either of which would have run me in excess of 300 bucks new. So, I decided to roll AMD. I'm already floored by the performance and I haven't even done anything substantial yet. I'm back to the old days of actually being GPU bottlenecked in games again (ultra/max settings at 1440p on a 144hz monitor), where previously my CPU usage spiked at 100 and my GPU just kinda trailed behind, probably laughing the whole time. One thing I will give this as well is that the stock cooler is one of the better ones I've seen through the years, though it's still nothing compared to a good ol' Noctua or something. Still, it's quiet, keeps things plenty cool at stock clocks, and I didn't have to think twice about what make or model to get or having to do the thermal paste application process. Still, probably gonna be going to an aftermarket before too long, but for those of you who just want/need a CPU ready to go out of the box, this contains all you need.

Now, that everybody stays home all day, I decided to build a separate computer for my daughter, so she doesn't keep mine occupied all the time. I purchased this nice AMD Ryzen processor from Best Buy, after reading the reviews on the website. Paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM, an ASUS motherboard and an NVME SSD, I expect nothing but the best from it. AMD has come a long way with these Ryzen 3000 series. Highly recommended !!!

    Super Solid 200$ CPU

So far the Ryzen 5 3600 CPU is performing brilliantly. I have it on a B450 pro Motherboard with WD Blue SSD as a boot drive, startup is satisfyingly fast. Gaming-wise this pairs well with lower-to-mid range GPUs like RX 580 or GTX 1660 Super with very little bottleneck, getting good frames at 1080p resolution. At the 200$ MSRP this is a very solid CPU. On sale, ut's a steal.

The Ryzen 5 3600 is a GREAT CPU! It was a great price, too, at retail, not price gouged, so I was really excited! The package had a MOBO in it too, and was slated to arrive on a Monday, and got there on the preceding Saturday, so I was SUPER excited to be able to build my PC two days early! Great performance, suuuuuuuper quiet, and the fan works perfectly!

In 2017, my i5 2500k from 2011 finally bit the dust - so I made an emergency upgrade. I went with the ASUS B350-F and a Ryzen 3 1300X. The 1300X held me over for a while, but I recently started to notice that it couldn't keep up with newer games, and bottlenecked my now dated GTX 970. I did some research and couldn't decide between the Ryzen 5 2600 and the 3600, but ultimately went with the 3600 and sold off my old 1300X to make up for the cost difference. This is a fantastic CPU, that has completely eliminated stuttering issues I experienced with my 1300X while gaming. My FPS have gone up, and this thing will pair so well with the AMD 5700 I plan to buy in the next few months. ONE PROBLEM: The stock cooler (AMD Wraith Stealth) that comes with this CPU is bad. You HAVE to run it at 100% speed at all times to maintain good temps, at stock CPU speeds. I upgraded to the AMD Wraith Prism which works great.

What are you watching for? This is hands down the best all arounder there is. Amazing value and there are numerous reviews online that will show that. Games, rendering, office, or design work it solid. This is it! I'd recommend using an after market cooler for maximum performance. It's a 85watt cpu only that could be throttled the stock cooler. Don't hesitate to buy it's worth it!

Amazing for playing any titles at 1440p and beyond. This is also a great productivity processor for the money at $159.99. For anyone wanting to buy this processor, wait until it goes for $159.99 or under, you can price match this product by finding a better price from a qualifying store then show the competitors price at checkout to get a price match and save up to $50.

The Ryzen 5 3500 is an excellent CPU for a small office server. For anything except games, no Intel CPU can touch this thing at this price. And even if I were building a budget-ish gaming PC, I'd still go for this or similar AMD cpu, unless you KNEW the only thing you'd do with it is game.
