An excellent upgrade for an older AM4+ motherboard

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is a superb value for a CPU that mates well with my Gigabyte AB350N gaming Wifi motherboard. It does not support PCIe 4.0 but those 350 era MBs don't support it either. Performance bump of over 30% from the Ryzen 1600 it replaced. AND it makes my old rig Windows 11 compatible. However, I don't like the cooler. Too hard to install. Aftermarket tower coolers are much easier to install. Hence the one star less in ease of use.

However, it's an extremely capable CPU when pared with a mid-range graphics card like the 7600XT, 3060Ti, 6650XT, and the 4060.

While it isn't the best on the market right now it's a good upgrade choice. I noticed significant performance changes.
