I'm able to overclock this cpu to 4.7 GHrz which is higher than the spec sheet states. For this reason, i have no problem recommending the processor.

Like seriously, if you are on the AMD platform do yourself a favor BUY THIS CHIP (whenever it is in stock, that is). Things go out of stock for a reason. That should be a clue that it is worth your time. So next time you see it--Snag it, especially if you're a gamer on 1080p or 1440p.

It's stable when overclocked, and a great value for the price. The wraith cooler that's included isn't bad, but if you're going to do some serious overclocking, you'll want something beefier.

Haven't used an AMD CPU since the mid/late 90's AMD K6 days... wasn't disappointed with this one. Very good CPU, great performance, runs cool under normal workloads, very responsive. Not sure I actually see an improvement from the i7 2600, but they're similar clock speeds and number of cores, faster RAM and PCIe-16 etc. Good enough for my requirements I guess.

Upgraded from an i7-4790k processor I've been using for the last 5 or 6 years. So far this new processor has been great. Runs fast, seems to be a great complement to my RTX 3080 GPU. One thing I noticed is the temperature has pretty big fluctuations--it's way more volatile than the i7-4790k. This is even with a super-overkill Noctua NH-D15 cooler. The temp will spike for half a second and cause the fans to spin up. From what I've read, the temperature volatility is to be expected. I adjusted the fan curves to avoid them spinning up unnecessarily but it's still kind of annoying. With how much the price of comparable Intel CPUs have dropped, I think those are worth considering, but I don't regret this purchase.

I bought this processor when my Ryzen 5 3600 failed (computer crashing and rebooting randomly, also failed stress test). So far, this Ryzen 5 5600x has been running great and is compatible with Windows 11. I use it to play various Steam games and it handles them with ease. The motherboard I use with this processor is the Aorus Pro Wifi B450, but it’s important to note that since it was only advertised as Ryzen 3000 ready, it needed to have the BIOS updated so it could accept Ryzen 5000 series processors (proceed with caution with this task).

Good chip for its value. If call of duty is one of your main games, I wouldn’t recommend getting an AMD chip thought because for some reason call of duty games don’t get alone with AMD chips. Even tho this chip is a severe upgrade from what I had before, when I get on call of duty it’s freezing like crazy and I have extreme packet loss most of the time. Works perfectly otherwise.

Lightning fast single core performance. Upgraded to this from an Intel I5 - 9400 and the difference is massive. Best value processor on the market right now. High end gaming has been no problem with this.

Amazing upgrade over prior gen intel, AMD has been knocking it out of the park. May buy again for a second HTPC tho am considering the 5600G as well once they are available. The 5600X is quite a price hike over the prior gen 3600 which made me consider docking a point, but after so many years with low margins aa the budget alternative to intel its understandable why they are upping the price to increase margins while they have the advantage. Bottom line is its sucj a good performer it is still the best bang per buck CPU at this price point. That AMD doesnt have a 5600 at a cheaper $199 price point is not a knock on the 5600X ecen if its a weakness in the product stack.
