Easily the best $300 CPU on the market today. It will beat anything that Intel can offer currently and trade blows with their flagship that's over $500. I was a lucky one recipient of a higher grade 5600x mine can OC to 4.9 GHz stable. If he can find one at MSRP $300 buy it now.

Was easy to install and used Ryzen master to auto overclock. Was super fast even before that though.

Even in 2024, this is still a great option for the price. At $100-125 depending on sales, it outclasses the i3 and earlier-gen options in the same price range. AM4 boards are still readily available, as is support from AMD. Very happy with my 5600x build in 2025.

At $300, this is probably the best bang for the buck current-gen processor you can buy as of January 2021. It matches Intel 10900k and 10700K in gaming performance as well as the higher spec'd 5800X and 5900X. It's also incredibly power-efficient. Not to mention that the included cooler is pretty good so you don't really need to purchase a 3rd party CPU cooler. As long as you're not bottlenecked by your GPU, this baby will treat you well. This will handle your RTX 3060ti/RX 6800 nicely and won't even bottleneck an RTX 3090/RX 6900XT.

One of the best upgrades I made thus far. Went from a 2600x to this 5600x. Had a 3060 Ti previously that was swapped from a Rx 580. This night and day difference between CPU performance is drastic. Used to be able to play upwards of around 120fps max high settings, after switching to the 5600x, Performance gains boosted to around 160+ fps. Won't have to upgrade for a few generations and am satisfied with this setup. Totally recommend this even on the most budget end.

What is there to say? The best value and performance in a desktop CPU. AM4 socket and Zen 3 performance increases make these CPUs the way to go regardless of which model you choose. The 5600x is the entry level leader and the best for gamers/streamers. No bad choices here get one and then spend a week choosing your mother board if you aren't upgrading in place.
