Really great processor for a budget build. Bought it for $80 last year, and really holds its own to modern games. One of the best AM4 chips you can get for sure

The entry point for Zen 3 and CPU dominance

What is there to say? The best value and performance in a desktop CPU.
AM4 socket and Zen 3 performance increases make these CPUs the way to go regardless of which model you choose. The 5600x is the entry level leader and the best for gamers/streamers.
No bad choices here get one and then spend a week choosing your mother board if you aren't upgrading in place.

Best Upgrade From a 2600x

One of the best upgrades I made thus far. Went from a 2600x to this 5600x. Had a 3060 Ti previously that was swapped from a Rx 580. This night and day difference between CPU performance is drastic. Used to be able to play upwards of around 120fps max high settings, after switching to the 5600x, Performance gains boosted to around 160+ fps. Won't have to upgrade for a few generations and am satisfied with this setup. Totally recommend this even on the most budget end.

Very capable CPU for home/game use. I know it’s hard to find in stock but I was able to grab it off the shelf at my local store. It wasn’t listed on the website but was sitting oh so lonely on the shelf next to the Intel home heaters. I guess it was a online purchase that was never picked up. Didn’t plan on a new build but I found this so I had to. Was able to score a 3080 a couple days latter so life is good.

I built my computer around this processor. I'm not a major game player but I do want quality for the games I play. AMD mad this processor for gaming with the frequency it runs at and the 6 cores it was the best bang for my buck. The added 12 threads link paths for the 6 cores to work hard for you. With it power and the motherboard and ram I put together it has preformed for me as expected. I've have been using AMD products for 10 years now and have never had and issue with them.

I was lucky enough to land this on launch day and installed this in my gaming PC. This has been great and I have no complaints. It's quick and has helped my overall performance of my PC.
Side note, Ryzen likes faster and dual rank ram. If you're not sure if your ram is dual rank, then it's best to have a quad channel setup. This helps your CPU run more efficiently and can give you a 10% boost in FPS.

This CPU really nails the sweet spot between gaming and multi-tasking. It gets the job done for a competitive shooter and WFH designer. It's very snappy and efficient. The price is right where it should be and you won't notice much of a difference between this and the next step up.

After finally getting my 3070 TI, I found myself at Best Buy looking at the 5600x and 5800x trying to decide which to go with. I decided to give the bank account a break and went with the 5600x.
After a few weeks of using the PC, I can say zero regrets. It has handled every game and function beautifully. If you are on the fence like me, do your wallet a favor and go with this CPU.
