I already have a GPU (RX 580) so I decided not to get the 5600G (which has a slightly lower clock speed). This is an excellent processor, it effectively tackles all processor-heavy games. If you DON'T have a GPU, do NOT get this processor. But if you do, this is a great pick.

This CPU has been able to handle everything I threw at it. I wanted to go bigger and get a Ryzen 7 but I was told that there are diminishing returns for bigger and better CPUs, specifically in terms of gaming. I used the cooler that came with it but eventually switched to an AIO pump when I noticed my CPU temps jumping above 80 deg C.

Great price with my Birthday special. Working as intended and I couldn't be any more satisfied.

I just installed it a few hours ago. Originally I bought the R7 5800X but went with this one instead based on price to performance benchmarks. I enabled PBO 2.0 and input my settings and curve and I'm stable with a boost clock of 4.85hz which is crazy. I'll probably disable PBO and just go with a manual OC of 4.6 or 4.7 but it's a great CPU to mess with.

Works great, way faster than my 2700x. Giving 4 stars because the stock cooler that’s included seems to be a huge downgrade from the much larger heatsink that is on the older models.

Great budget processor, but pay attention to temperatures under high workloads! Would recommend liquid cooling unit to go along with it! Otherwise, solid choice for most people that like to game, edit videos, etc. It seems to rival a lot of expensive processors on the market, so give it some consideration!

Upgrading this part has given me the ability to play almost all of the games I wanted to play. Best thing ever so far.

Got this to upgrade from my about 3 year old system. Originally had a Ryzen 5 2600 and still have my GTX 1080 which still perfectly fits my needs. I also did a BIOS update for my B450 board and boy, this thing blows my 2600 out of the water. Cinebench R23 shows about 1.7 times better performance. I couldn't be happier.

Excellant CPU for the money. I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 1400 and felt a substantial increase in performance and gaming capabilities. I can now game at consistant FPS on games I previously had issues with, and even turned the graphics up higher on other games that ran fine before. I'm very pleased with this CPU and would recommend it to anyone.

Solid CPU. Haven't run into any issues with it yet. The stock CPU cooler is ok. It's a little noisy for me and doesn't keep the CPU as cool as I'd like under load. The stock cooler fan is a little big and encroaches the RAM space some on my mITX board. It works for now, but I plan on buying a more efficient cooler in the near future. I would recommend that, but it's not worth knocking the rating down a 4.
