Great performance for your dollar, and even moreso now that prices have fallen! Pairs excellently with my AMD RX6900 XT!

A very budget-friendly CPU that provides great performance without hurting your wallet. Incredible value.

Bought this in conjunction with the 6700 xt from Best Buy for my first ever gaming PC build, and so far, it has been exactly what I was looking for. Excellent, stable, and reliable performance along with the ease of the Best Buy purchase experience makes doing this all over again a no brainer for future builds. Nearly zero tweaking after assembly supplies more than enough performance from this powerhouse. 6/5 stars easy.

Building my wife a new machine and wanted to set it up completely before moving her GPU from the old computer. This chip allowed me to use on chip video to configure and download all drivers. It performs much better than her old i7 but that was an 8 year old chip.

When you talk about CPU's you instantly think about performance and gaming, and this is exactly what you would need to start on the right foot when it comes to PC Gaming. This CPU (paired with a capable graphics card GPU) is the best starting point since it provides 6 cores (12 threads) of computing power to provide you with excellent frames (FPS) on all demanding games.

Excellent CPU for the price, gaming performance compared to similarly priced competitors is well ahead and has a decent upgrade path considering the 5800x3d exists now.

I bought it to play video games, I mainly used it for a month, the super good performance, the only thing I have to say is that I need more time to play. I know it's a past generation but it's up to what you want to run in this generation.

Fastest 6-core available today. Superior eco-system than competition. Update BIOS on X370 and B450 motherboard and it was that simple.

The 5600x was only a single generation upgrade from my original ryzen 3600 but it was HUGE. Paired with a 3080ti I can play any game with still have cpu left over for extra application. Adobe apps run great.

I got it as what I thought was a cheap quick replacement that I was going to replace with a current Gen but honestly even when I'm gaming on one monitor and doing some work on the other in between games I can't use more than 50% of the CPU capacity. Totally worth it

Used for first PC build, could not be more impressed. I do recommend upgrading from the factory cooler.

It is a really fast processor. I have used it in many builds and have also had a chance to compare it against the i5 11600k, which it beats. There are a few issues I have run into however, although I cannot say for certain they are attributed to this processor specifically, since I changed both this and the MOBO for each build. One is that AMD Ryzen Master works well for a while, then suddenly it just stops opening properly even after reboot. The only thing that alleviates it is a reinstall of the program. I'll have to do a clean install of Windows and possibly try a different drive to know for certain

Whatever magic AMD did, this is the end all be all solution to most, especially gaming. Intel has some catching up to do

Pretty good processor for the price. Will do just about anything.

Bought this for my first custom built PC. It’s performed really well, handles running streamed video on one screen with a game on the other with no issues.

If you are looking for a powerful and affordable CPU for your next PC build, you should definitely consider the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.

I upgraded from a r3 3100 to this and I'll say the difference was and still is noticeable. Took awhile to update bios but worth it.
