Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Ryzen 5 5600X's performance, describing it as excellent value for its price and easy to install. Many highlight the processor's strong performance and smooth operation. While some users noted compatibility issues with older motherboards and power consumption concerns, these were less frequently mentioned than the positive feedback.

Six core cpu that really puts in the work to produce a great pc experience. Paired it with a 3080 and makes a nice little gaming setup. Stock cooler is fine and works however I am running it on an AIO NZXT 240mm water cooler. Temps stay cool and performs well and recommended for those looking to get started gaming.

I upgraded from Ryzen 2600, this thing is light-years faster and better preforming in virtually every way possible. I was hesitant due to the reviews saying this chip ran hot, so far that hasn't been the case for me. I'm getting better temps than I had with the 2600. That being said I am using a cooler master fan. This chip is well worth the money.

I had the Ryzen 5 3600 and switched to the 5600x. I noticed a substantial improvement over the 3rd gen Ryzen. I built my PC and paired the Ryzen with a ROG Strix 6700xt 12GB. I averaged 250fps in warzone and 200+ in other games. I averaged about 150 with my old processor. I got a good deal on the processor due to best buy price match. I highly recommend this processor.

If you're looking for a processor thats about middle ground performance for a good price, this is the processor for you. Paired with my 3060 I can run most games on Ultra settings. Need a little extra performance boost? No problem! AMD offers the AMD Ryzen Master Software on their website that allows you to enable auto-overclocking when it needs it.

Even in 2024, this is still a great option for the price. At $100-125 depending on sales, it outclasses the i3 and earlier-gen options in the same price range. AM4 boards are still readily available, as is support from AMD. Very happy with my 5600x build in 2025.

Unbelievable value, 6 fast cores, great for gaming, pretty good in single threaded applications. If you are building a gaming rig, no matter the budget, this is a great option.

This is absolutely a great CPU for a mid-range PC build. The performance is more than worth its price. The stock fan that is included keeps the CPU pretty cool even when gaming for hours. When paired with a M.2 SSD, applications load unbelievably fast - amazing! I paired this with the AM4 X570 chipset and I'm loving it!

Great CPU so far and hits right where I wanted for value. Super fast and handles all the tasks I put at it. I do a lot of gaming with some photo processing and other light work station tasks in there. The cooler included works all right but does get a bit louder for my taste and I'm looking to upgrade that.

This is a great processor for someone who wants a 5000 series but can't afford to get the 5950X, works like a charm and can handle quite a bit of abuse and runs processes pretty well

They say 6 cores is all you need for gaming and that is true. But you might find yourself wanting just a little bit more performance. Especially if you are a multi-tasker or dual monitor user. I run dual monitors with a game on one monitor while playing youtube on the other. It's definitely doable on this processor but I found myself needing a bit more to get a smoother experience. If you're on a tight budget, then this will get the job done. But if you can afford a bit more, definitely go for the 5700x or even the 5900x

Great CPU for a great price. One of the best value CPU’s out there. Never had any issues with it. Bought it for a friend who never has had a pc before and he loves it. It can handle all the load he wants pretty easily.

I was able to get it for $160 and was torn between this and the 5700x. Being able to overclock it and keep good temps under load is quite impressive. With the right aio or air cooler, you can put the 5600x to max. Even at 70c temps it handles games under load with ease.
