2700X to 5600X

There were less cores in this 5600X than my 2700X, but these cores are far faster. In CPU intensive games like VALORANT, this boosted my frames by over 100+. Only thing you should do is replace the stock CPU cooler.

It's definitely worth the upgrade. Huge improvements in most games at the same power consumption.

Average uplift is about 15-20%. Buy this when it becomes available its worth the money

Performance off the bat wasn't super noticeable (expected). In game performance was a little better, my FPS seems more stable and doesn't go up and down as much. This is a very hot running CPU, you must have a push-pull cooling setup with a tower cooler or an AIO to achieve maximum stock performance. With the stock cooler, temps would get up to around 80C under load. After changing to a tower cooler and upgrading my case fans, temps dropped to roughly 68C which was a lot more comfortable.

Be sure to pair it with at least 3600mhz CL16 ram. Depending on the motherboard you may have to flash the bios, which is really easy if you watch a video on it.

Unless your are running a 3090 there is no need for anything more than this. The cpu also comes with a cooler that can be used, although a stronger cooler is highly recommended.

Great Afforable Gaming CPU
