If you're like me and looking to build a solid gaming PC for a low cost then this chip will provide awesome price to performance. For $169 it can easily be paired with medium to high end GPUs without bottlenecking.

Great value. Managed to get it on sale. Modest upgrade to my wifes gaming rig from am3+ to this chip. The included cooler is plenty for this 65w chip. Performs great in all games tried

Best bang for the buck in the lineup. Yes, more cores would be nice, but this thing does all core OC at 4.8Ghz for me which is amazing considering in games it's basically equal to a 5900x. Meanwhile the power consumption is far less so no where near the amount of heat a 5900x generates.

Great CPU. Try and catch this thing on sale to save so money. You can build a decent budget system by pairing this with a b450 board (You will need to update the motherboard bios first before it will work!) and something like a 1080ti or 3060ti to get a ton of performance without spending too much.

Everything I needed it to be. Best Buy never lets me down with faulty products and this was the first CPU I've purchased from here. Big boost in gaming performance, and will hold it's value and performance on AAA games for a good while.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is an excellent choice for a gaming PC. It offers 6 cores and 12 threads, providing great performance for modern games while staying affordable. Its high clock speeds and efficiency make it perfect for 1080p and 1440p gaming. Paired with a decent GPU, it can handle most titles smoothly without bottlenecking. If you’re building on a budget but still want solid gaming performance, the Ryzen 5 5600X is a fantastic pick.

Having upgraded my desktop with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, I can confidently say it's a powerhouse processor for both gaming and productivity. The 6-core, 12-thread configuration ensures smooth multitasking and exceptional performance in demanding applications. Paired with the Wraith Stealth Cooler, temperatures stay under control even during intense gaming sessions. The unlocked feature allows for easy overclocking, further boosting performance. Games run flawlessly, and the processor handles video editing and content creation tasks like a champ. AMD's 4th Gen Ryzen series truly delivers, and the 5600X is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a high-performance processor without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for gamers and content creators alike!

I love Ryzen processors. This specific one is quite a good deal when under $100. It's a solid performer and if you really wanted to later down the line you can upgrade it wjth a higher end Ryzen processor (AM4 specific ones).

Wow! The power you get for the $$$$ with this 5600X at MSRP is just amazing. Can't go wrong for your PC build with this. Should handle just about anything you throw at it. I can game and stream at 2k no problem. I love it. I had a Ryzen 1800X for the LONGEST time before getting this and it beats it in every way.

Great replacement for my 2600. Not sure if I would grab this over an 11th gen Intel chip if I was just starting a new build, but AMD's upgrade path made this a no-brainer for me. Worth the price for gaming.

It’s the best gaming pcu for a budget. It’s like maybe 10% behind a $500 cpu at the moment. Don’t follow the new stuff, get your money’s worth. Great for programming as well. Anything except maybe video coding professionally.

It's amazing how powerful CPUs have become over the years. The 5600x strikes a balance between price and performance, although it may be better to opt for a 5600G (if you need integrated graphics) or a normal 5600 (as it's cheaper and roughly identical in performance).

This was my first AMD processor and I've been more than happy with it. I replaced my previous Intel CPU with this and an Intel-based motherboard with one that would support this and I'm very pleased with the performance. Temps are good even with the stock fan. I have a better fan that I used with the Intel CPU, but haven't gotten around to getting the adapter needed. I'm still using a GeForce GTX 1080 with it and so far I'm very satisfied working in Adobe Creative Cloud Apps (even editing and rendering video), as well as 3D applications like Blender and ZBrush. Definitely meets my needs for any of the functions that are CPU intensive vs GPU.

Handles amazingly with my desktop, a fast processor. I can run any tasks easily. I was on a budget and it is worth your buck.

This cpu is amazing ive stress tested it a number of times running benchmarks while editing a 4K vid and dozens of tabs open some with vid and hasn’t hesitated in any way heat hasn’t gone up more than a few degrees, everything is quite a bit snappier as well, 299$ is a great price for what u get.

Amazing processor for the money. Definitely the best gaming CPU out there, don’t bother with the higher models in the 5000 series unless you intend to stream or do other content creation work.
